A student is expected to attend all classes. However, a student must put in 80% of total attendance for each subject, in the absence of which he/she will not be eligible to write the exam for that subject. A student is required to monitor his/ her own attendance and no separate notice will be displayed.

In case of genuine medical/ professional/ other reasons resulting in shortage of attendance, the student is encouraged to attend classes the following year as per the rules of re-registration and re-examination of the University. Absence beyond 20% will not be condoned for any reason whatsoever.

Admission Criteria Process

Students will be admitted for B. Pharm Integrated course [MBA (Pharma Tech)], if they meet the required standards of the three-stage selection process as described below:-

Stage I: All eligible candidates are required to appear for NMAT – T (National Management Aptitude Test – Test) to be conducted in various centres across the country.

Stage II: Those short listed and have applied for the subsequent selection process, will have to appear for Personal Interview at NMIMS, Mumbai.

Stage III: Counseling is based on the performance in Stage 1 and Stage 2 and on the candidates’ 12th standard PCM/PCB marks. A composite merit list will be drawn as per criteria laid down by the Institute. Candidates will be called for counseling session based on the above merit list. In the counseling session, candidates can opt merit wise for the program either at Mumbai or Shirpur campus depending on the availability of seats.

Merit list of successful candidates for Stage III will be displayed on the NMIMS website and on the Institute’s Notice Board.

Placements

Graduates will have priority in placement due to scientific background with managerial expertise.

SPPSPTM has a placement cell. It assists students by providing a platform to enter various Pharma Industries and related organizations. We facilitate the placement activities. The placement cell, along with the student representatives’ co-ordinate industrial training and final placements.

What is the eligibility criterion for MBA (Pharma Tech) with integrated course(Five years integrated course)?The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 exam with science or science vocational with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and English subjects and obtained minimum 50% in PCB or PCM. Those awaiting their 10 + 2 exam results may also apply.

2. What is the admission procedure for MBA (Pharma Tech.) program?
   The candidate has to appear for NMAT (T) – written test. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate in written test, and availability of seats as per eligibility criteria. Merit list will be displayed on website as per the schedule notified.

3. What is the scope for MBA (Pharma Tech) with integrated course(Five years integrated course)?After completion of B. Pharm integrated course[MBA (Pharm. Tech)] the student can join Pharma industry in various divisions like Marketing, Human resource operations and IPR related areas. Candidate can pursue further studies like Ph.D.

10. What generally is the cut-off for NMAT? It varies year to year, depending on number of applicants, score and cannot be given a definite number. It is a percentile system.

13. What is the syllabus and subjects to be studied for NMAT?
    The NMAT (UG) 2013 for MBA (Pharma. Tech.) Programs would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type of questions).
    The NMAT (UG) 2013 will comprise of 3 major parts as follows:

The candidate may cancel the admission by submitting an application in writing

Refund Rules:
The Schedule of refund of fees will be as follows:

1. Till the date of commencement of the Program.	Rs.1000/- will be deducted as administrative charges
2. After the commencement of Program but before the close of the admission.	Rs.1000 + Proportionate fees i.e. one tenth of the fees for every completed month or part thereof, if the seat vacated by the candidate is filled. If the seat remains vacant /unfilled no fees will be refunded.
3. Cancellation after the official Closure of admission.	Cancellation made after the official closing of admission no fees will be refunded.

19. Which official statutory bodies have approved these programs?
It is not a pre-requisite for an institution notified as a ‘Deemed-to-be University’ to obtain the approval of the AICTE, to start any program in technical or management education leading to an award, including degrees in disciplines covered under the AICTE Act, 1987. However, institutions notified as ‘Deemed-to-be University’ are required to ensure the maintenance of the minimum standards prescribed by the AICTE for various programs that come under the jurisdiction of the said Council. It is expected that the institutions notified as ‘Deemed to be University’ maintain their standards of education higher than the minimum prescribed by the AICTE.

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has given recommendation to the institute for conduct of course.

20. Is hostel facility available for students?Yes we do have Hostel facility as mentioned below Hostel facility in Mumbai Hostel for Girls: NMIMS has a well furnished hostel for girls (limited seats) by the name of MKM Sanghavi Girls’ Hostel, which is located close to the University. Along with this a few residential flats are also available for accommodation. Hostel for Boys: Limited seats are available at G. R. Jani Boys Hostels, which is 1/2 km away from the NMIMS campus. In addition to this, few residential flats are also available for accommodation.

Hostel facility in Shirpur Being a residential campus, the hostel at our campus is well furnished and fully equipped with all the necessary requirements for students.
