This is a 3 year integrated program spread over 9 trimesters, leading to Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm. – Pharmaceutics) and Masters in Business Administration MBA (Pharma Tech & Healthcare Management). The candidate will acquire postgraduate dual degrees, one in technical field (research) and second in managerial skills in Pharma sector. This also saves one academic year. This program is conducted by well-experienced senior faculty in addition to visiting professors/ industry experts.
The syllabus of M. Pharm. (Full Time) and management portion of MBA (Pharma Tech) have been blended looking into the current industrial needs, thus saving the academic hours for the technical skills required to be delivered in professional life. The course involves a balanced integration in pharmacy research & management education.
In the first year of this program, students learn 8 technical subjects and 12 management subjects. The technical subjects cover the areas of Drug Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurances, Advances in Pharmaceutical Technology, Dosage Form Technology, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Industrial Pharmacy and Packaging. The management subjects cover the areas of Business Communication, Management of Technology & Innovation, Business Economics, Principles and Practice of Management, Marketing Management, Operations Research, Organizational Behaviour, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Statistical Methods, Project Management and Cost Accounting.
In the first two trimesters of second year, students take up a major project on technical subject. Third trimester of second year covers 8 subjects. First two trimesters of third year covers of 10 subjects, along with electives as mentioned in the curriculum. In the third trimester of the third year, students take up management internship program.

ATTENDANCE
A student is expected to attend all classes. However, a student must put in 80% of total attendance for each subject, in the absence of which he/she will not be eligible to write the exam for that subject/ submit the dissertation as the case may be. A student is required to monitor his/ her own attendance and no separate notice will be displayed.
In case of genuine medical/ professional/ other reasons resulting in shortage of attendance, the student is encouraged to attend classes the following year as per the rules of re-registration and re-examination of the University. Absence beyond 20% will not be condoned for any reason whatsoever.

Eligibility
Candidate must have passed B.Pharm examination with 55% of marks from any of the recognized university. Industry sponsored candidate would be preferred. GPAT qualified candidates will be given additional weightage of 10 marks, in the final merit list.
Note: Eligibility to continue in for MBA course is minimum score of 3 as CGPA at M. Pharm level.
Admission Criteria Process
Candidates will be admitted to the above mentioned program through NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT – P). The Admission Test and Personal Interview will be conducted only at Mumbai Centre. The admission Test will comprise of objective type question based on sections: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and English Proficiency. Duration of the interview will be 10 – 12 minutes. Candidates will be assessed based on achievements/ career orientation, professional knowledge/ skills, commitment to the course, learning orientation/ perseverance and soft skills.
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of information provided in the application form, categorized as academic/ professional work experience, marks obtained in the written test and personal interview. Merit list of successful candidates for Stage II as well as the final merit list will be displayed on the NMIMS website and on the Institute’s Notice Board.

Post graduates from this course will have a dual advantage of the business lineage of SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be University) and a solid background of the industrial aspects in pharmacy. This advantage will be of immense use to the ever growing pharma industry worldwide.
SPPSPTM has a placement cell. It assists students by providing a platform to enter various Pharma Industries and related organizations. We facilitate the placement activities. Generally, the placement cell, along with student representatives co-ordinate both, industrial training and final placements.

SVKM's NMiMS - School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (Shirpur)
SVKM’s NMIMS University’s first off campus center at Shirpur is the brainchild of our President and Chancellor Hon. Shri. Amirishbhai Patel and dream project of SVKM. Being the first off campus center, all the necessary care has been taken by University authorities to make this campus a vibrant and innovative centre of higher education and research, offering quality education in a peaceful location away from the busy and congested city life.
SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur is an integrated campus approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Recently Pharmacy Council of India has granted permission to conduct the course at Shirpur campus. The Campus is located on Mumbai-Agra highway (NH-3) in North Maharashtra. The widespread 45 acres campus is situated on the bank of Tapi river surrounded by Satpuda hill ranges. The off campus center is being developed with the state-of-art, self contained educational, residential and recreational facilities.
School of Pharmacy & Technology Management is a model pharmacy school conducting various graduate, post graduate and research programs in pharmaceutical sciences. In short span of four years the School of Pharmacy and Technology Management (SPTM) has produced the postgraduate students with the knowledge and skill required by Pharma. Industries.
The school is situated in a 24 x 7 Wi- Fi campus and is provided with excellent infrastructure. The air-conditioned classrooms have both pen & board and audio-visual presentation facilities, while specious laboratories are equipped with sophisticated instruments. The campus provides all facilities needed for a comfortable residential life, e.g. ATM, consumer store, computer care and free transport for town.
A team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty is continuously trained in latest methods of educational technology and in their fields of specialization. All faculty members are either holding or pursuing a Ph.D. degree in their respective fields. Apart from presenting and publishing their work in reputed journals and conferences, they have won laurels for the institute by publication of books, patenting their research work and writing blogs on drug-related issues.
The school has the in-house facilities of a pilot plant with State of Art technology and a highly sophisticated CPCSEA approved animal house. A State-of-the-Art fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall and Auditorium with ultramodern facilities and a seating capacity of more than 500 students are being developed.
