Chemical Engineering is a science of creation and a branch of engineering concerned with the design, construction, and operation of plants and equipments, that have helped develop atomic science, polymers, paper, dyes, drugs, plastics, fertilizers, foods, petrochemicals… pretty much everything. Chemical Engineering is essential in the areas where processes involve the chemical or physical transformation of matter. The areas wherein the chemical Engineers fit in are chemical Industries, energy and oil industries, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electronic device fabrication, and environmental engineering are increasing. Chemical engineers can make processes more cost effective or more environmentally friendly or more efficient. Thus it is evident that a chemical engineer can find a niche in any scientific or engineering field.
MBA (Tech) Chemical
We provide high quality education clustering engineering and management in a way that prepares our students to be Leaders in Industry. We provide a high-quality education experience that will prepare graduates to assume leadership positions within the chemical and associated industries. We foster and encourage the pursuit of new knowledge in the chemical sciences and engineering.
Program Incharge’s Message
All the modern day innovations are the outcome of the hybridization of various disciplines. MBA (Tech) Chemical is hybridization between Chemical Engineering principles and sound Management Practices. In addition MBA (Tech) students get invaluable hands down training during their technical and Managerial internships which enhance their learning process considerably. Thus this course produces techno managers to serve the needs of chemical & Allied Industries. In fact MBA (Tech) Chemical students have excellent training & grooming to become good Project managers, work effectively in teams and has capability to achieve targeted goals. They are employable from Day 1 and their promotion prospects are very good.

Value Proposition
The NMIMS philosophy has always been about all-round development of students. Apart from ensuring academic excellence , a plethora of activities are organised to help students to take initiatives and bring to the fore their un-utilized and lesser known potentials in any sector – be it sports, culture or academics. Most of the programmes, activities and initiatives are completely run and managed by student bodies; which ingrain in them the qualities of leadership, planning, strategizing, budgeting, teamwork, managing or sharing responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
Program Objectives
MBA (Tech.) was launched based on Industry survey and feedback. An extensive research was conducted across a large number of establishments and thereafter discussions were held with industry leaders, which pointed out a huge need-gap—”engineers are technocrats, but need management inputs in different functional areas in order to be really successful.”
The objective of the programme is to provide companies with future technology managers who require less training, possess advanced communication skills and become effective contributors in their first year of induction itself in industry/business. MBA (Tech.) coursework builds on a solid undergraduate engineering disciplines base and concurrently with the core and elective management subjects. They are current in both technology and management.
