Electronics aims at making the life of human beings comfortable. Communication connects people and brings them together. The vast application of electronics and the rapid advancements in the field of communications makes the study of this branch a covered option. The department's teaching areas include network, microprocessor, communications, signal and image processing, pattern recognition, electronics circuits, solid-state electronics, microwave electronics, system and control, electronics, VLSI, CAD, parallel and distributed processing and wireless communication.
Keeping in line with fast changing technological developments, the department has a well designed, laboratories with modern equipments like Spectrum Analyzer,Logic Analyzer,DSO and advanced softwares like MATLAB,Proteus,Cadence ,to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. The state-of-the-art laboratories complement the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge that they need. Department having modern teaching aids like LCD projector in each classroom. Internet facility for each computer with UPS backup.
Provide practical exposure to the students through modern laboratories with continuous up gradation.
Create technical awareness among the students through special lectures from eminent resource persons, industrial visits and in plant training.
To make this institution a Center of Excellence in Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in DSP, VLSI, Embedded Systems and Wireless communication Systems.
Job Prospectus:The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering field is a fertile one which is attracted by not only Students but also by industries. The Companies like IBM, Intel, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung etc., have collaboration with India and giving a lot of openings to Electronics and Communication engineers, The other prospects are VLSI Systems, Embedded System, Digital communication and its emerging areas are offering numerous opening for Electronics and Communication engineers. Also they find place in software and hardware Industries in India and abroad.
Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates find opportunities in the Terrestrial and extra terrestrial communication systems like telephones, cellular phones, television, optical fiber communication, consumer and entertainment devices where most of them need electronics. Electronics graduates find jobs in the space programs in Satellites etc

Eligibility
Sandip Institute of Engineering and Management, affiliated to the University of Pune runs BE courses on campus. Details of admission for these courses are provided by the Directorate of Technical Education/State government as per their circulars on the issue.
The College is a linguistic Hindi minority college, administered under the Provisions of the Indian Constitution, to promote the welfare of the Minority community and to extend its services to all other communities in India, so as to contribute to the harmony and integration of Indian society. 51% of seats are reserved for Hindu Minority students. 21% seats are filled at the Institute level under the Management quota. As per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra, there is also a reservation for Special category students and for Backward Class students. The rest of the seats are for students from the General Category.
The specific criterion is as follows:
First Year of Engineering

Candidates should be Indian Nationals

Should have passed HSC(Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination securing minimum 45% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
-
Should have 135 marks out of 300 marks (120 marks in case of candidates belonging to Backward class categories from the State of Maharashtra) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics added together.

Should have obtained a non zero score in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics added together at MHT-CET.

Diploma holders who have completed their courses in Engineering / Technology with minimum of 45% marks and medium of instruction as English from institutions affiliated to MSBTE or AICTE approved in Maharashtra (for Maharashtra States Candidates) or such institutes situated inside/outside the state of Maharashtra (for outside Maharashtra state candidates).

Direct Admission to Second Year of Engineering:

Candidates must have passed three year Diploma course (Post - SSC or Post HSC) in Engineering from MSBTE, Mumbai or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.

Candidates belonging to backward class categories must fill in the Form which will be available in the information brochure to be attested by competent authority.

Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh should fill in CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY Performa which will be available in the information brochure and has to be attested by competent authority.
First Year of Engineering Degree Course:
Government seats:
Admission process for Government quota seats will be carried out as per the schedule declared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (Maharashtra State) from time to time. Students are also advised to check the website of Directorate of Technical Education.
Institute Level/Minority (Hindi Linguistic) Seats:
The details of the admission process, for the Institute level / Minority seats will be notified from the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. All the necessary details related to admission will be displayed on college notice board and on the college website.
The principal of the institute will invite applications for Institute Level/Minority through advertisements in leading newspapers.

Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria given below and wish to take admission should apply directly to the Principal or alternatively individuals can visit the campus.

Such seats will be filled by the Institute strictly on the basis of merit.
Schedule to fill up Seats remaining vacant after CAP(Common Admission Procedure) round and Institute Level/ Minority quota round will be displayed on the college Notice board as well on the web site of the institute.
Admission Procedure:-
First Year Engineering Degree Course
The following Admission Procedure should be followed by all candidates who have been allotted seats by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai for admission to the First Year (F.E.) of Engineering Degree Course at "Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management", Mahiravani, Nashik:
Step 1: Report the Admission Cell to know about how to fill the admission, submission of undertaking, certificates, fees by DD, etc.
Step 2: Purchase the Admission Form.
Step 3: Fill the Admission Form neatly & completely.
Step 4: Get the duly filled Admission form verified from the designated Competent Authority / Admission Cell at the College office.
Step 5:Collect the "Acknowledgment Letter" of submission of the original Documents from the Student Section.
Step 6:Pay the Adhoc/Interim Fees as stipulated by the Shikshan Shilka Samiti by demand draft drawn in favour of "Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management" payable at Nashik.
Step 7:Collect the Fee Payment Receipt from the Accounts Section.
Step 8:Report at the concerned counter to generate the Provisional Admission Receipt from D.T.E. Mumbai

Sandip Foundation's Institute of Engineering & Management
Sandip Institute of Engineering and Management (SIEM) was established in the year 2008-2009, with five Engineering courses. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to the University of Pune, it is the Premier Institute of the Sandip Foundation.
The institution boasts of world class infrastructure with State-of-the-Art Laboratories equipped with the latest machineries and tools, a Library containing books twice than the norms laid down by AICTE, National and International Journals (including e-journals), ample reference books of various authors to cater to the needs of the students so that they harness knowledge far beyond the syllabus.
