Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - At a Glance
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering a highly popular program which train the students in broad areas of Micro-electronics, Embedded Systems/System on Chip, Communication Engineering/ Networking, Digital Signal Processing, Fiber Optics and Photonics and Medical Electronics. Objective of Electronics and Telecommunication Department is to produce professional technocrat in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering to fulfill socioeconomic needs and to inculcate the spirit of moral values to create adroit citizen of India. To achieve this objective Department has well equipped laboratories and well qualified senior and young dynamic staff having industrial as well as educational experience. Department is graced with valuable guidance of Principal as he is Doctorate in Electronics and Telecommunication. To enhance the skill set of students faculties keeps themselves updated with current technology and industry needs. In same regard faculties have published 40 National Conferences, 43 International Conferences and 11 International journal papers. They have also undergone near about 44 workshops to adopt technical skills. Senior faculties are resource person for various workshops and conferences in other institutes.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - At SITRC
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department have separate building with specious laboratories. The department of E&TC built on 1000 sq.meter area with 3 story building having lower ground, upper ground & first floor. Department have PG course in VLSI and Embedded Systems. Special research lab is allocated to students for their research activities. Major equipments available for experimentation are DSO, OTDR, High Configuration CRO, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer and High End computers. Department has 10 Laboratories having cost of Rs. 80 Lacs. All laboratories are facilitated with latest software such as MATLAB, TRITON, PROTEUS, CADENCE, ALTERA etc. Also department has well developed library apart from college central library.
Department is constantly taking efforts for the co-curricular & extra curricular activities. Department organizes different events for students such as series of expert lectures, workshops, National Level paper presentations, Project Competitions, circuit debugging competitions to give exposure to students. Students have represented our college in renowned institutes of Nashik, Pune, Mumbai and all over Maharashtra region and won the prizes in different competitions. Department has organized state level workshop, international conference ICCIA 2010, ICCIA 2011. Department executes Industrial visits and training for third year and final year students to meet theory and practical concept.
Classrooms are equipped with latest teaching aids like LCD Projector. All the computers in department are connected through networking with internet facility. Department has got the UPS & generator back up.
Department is much serious about students placement. Different companies visited to department are Syntel India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Core Technologies, Kolhapur, Wipro Technology, Pune, Shivannad Electronics, Nashik etc.
Objectives:

To impart upto date technical knowledge and skills to produce well qualified engineers in an area of Electronics and Communication Engineering, who will make qualitative difference in this field.

To inculcate the professional responsibilities to play leader ship role along with their diverse career paths and develop capabilities to utilized engineering skills in industry and research centers and national laboratories and entrepreneurship.
Scope for Employment

Fresh graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering find good jobs in their sectors. They can also apply job in central government, state government and their sponsored corporations in public enterprises like All India Radio, Indian Telephone Industries , MTNL, National Physical laboratories, Civil aviation department: post and telegraph department, co-ordination department, BHEL and few other government undertakings.

The private companies offers excellent pay packages to skill and experience electronics professionals. The private units dealing with manufactured, sales and services of electronics consumer goods required large number of electronics professionals for their functioning.

Apart from making professional carrier, one can also do research work in this field by joining PhD programs offered by several institution across the globe.

Eligibility
First Year Engineering (UG Courses)
i) Candidate should have at least 45% marks (40% if student belong to backward class from Maharashtra) in three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and CET non zero score.
ii) Diploma candidates with 50% and above can be admitted to first year Engineering only against CAP vacant seats.
Direct Second Year
Admission to Direct Second Year after Diploma can be given to students who acquire the diploma with 50% and above marks.

Sandip Foundation's Institute of Technology & Research Center
The flagship Institute of Sandip Foundation, ‘Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre’ was established in the year 2008-2009, initially with four Engineering courses. Approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and recognized by the State Government while being Affiliated to University of Pune.
The institution is decked up with world class infrastructure which includes State-of-the-Art Laboratories with modern equipment's, Library having books twice than the norms by AICTE, National and International Journals (including e-journals), ample reference books of various authors to cater the student needs and provide knowledge beyond the syllabus.
