This is a 6 year integrated program spread over 18 trimesters, leading to a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutics/ Quality Assurance/ Pharmaceutical Analysis). This program will provide you with a broad background in Pharmacy. The degree offers a flexible six year program with a diverse range of specializations, depending on your career aspirations making it possible to enter into a wide range of industries. The course is predominantly based on practice and interaction with a strong focus on the healthcare system. This will enable students to practice pharmacy profession in a strong, skillful and determined manner.

DURATION
The course for B. Pharm. shall extend over four years consisting of three trimesters in each year, along with inbuilt industrial training. The course for M. Pharm. shall extend over two years consisting of three trimesters in each year. The research work consisting of industry related project and subsequent submission of dissertation will be part of second year spanning over two trimesters.

ATTENDANCE
A student is expected to attend all classes. However, a student must put in 80% of total attendance for each subject, in the absence of which he/she will not be eligible to write the exam for that subject. A student is required to monitor his/ her own attendance and no separate notice will be displayed.
In case of genuine medical/ professional/ other reasons resulting in shortage of attendance, the student is encouraged to attend classes the following year as per the rules of re-registration and re-examination of the University. Absence beyond 20% will not be condoned for any reason whatsoever.

The course is reviewed regularly in consultation with our Board of Studies, which comprises of professionals from pharma industry, research, FDA and pharma institutes from all over India. Thus, the course is tailor made to fulfill the requirements in Pharmaceutical sector for growing pharma industries worldwide.
Admission Criteria Process
Students will be admitted for B. Pharm, if they meet the required standards of the selection process as described below:-
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of CET score & the preferences given by the candidate at the time of Online registration. Preferences once given in Online registration will not be changed later. The merit list will be put up on the NMIMS website as per important dates. The decision of the institute will be final in this regard and no inquiries or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
Candidates who have not appeared for CET may also apply subject to availability of seats. If seats remain vacant after admitting CET candidate then Non CET candidate will be admitted on the basis of 10 + 2 or equivalent exam marks of PCM/PCB & the preferences given by the candidate at the time of Online registration. Preferences once given in Online registration will not be changed later.

Graduates from this course will have a dual advantage of the business lineage of SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University) and a solid background of the industrial aspects in pharmacy. This advantage will be of immense use to the ever growing pharma industry worldwide.
Graduates will have priority in placement due to scientific background, one trimester industrial training and hands on training in Pharma industry and/ or other related areas. SPPSPTM has a placement cell. It assists students by providing a platform to enter various Pharma Industries and related organizations. We facilitate the placement activities. Generally, the placement cell, along with student representatives co-ordinate both, industrial training and final placements.

What is the process for cancellation of admission?
The candidate is allowed to cancel the admission. If the admission is canceled before the commencement of course Rs. 1000 will be deducted from fees. -

Two sessional exams for each trimester (internal exams) and one trimester end exam for each trimester. -

Which official statutory bodies have approved these courses?It is not a pre-requisite for an institution notified as a ‘Deemed to be University’ to obtain the approval of AICTE, to start any program in technical or management education leading to an award, including degrees in disciplines covered under the AICTE Act, 1987. However, institutions notified as ‘Deemed to be University’ are required to ensure the maintenance of the minimum standards prescribed by the AICTE for various courses that come under the jurisdiction of the said Council. It is expected that the institutions notified as ‘Deemed to be University’ maintain their standards of education higher than the minimum prescribed by the AICTE.

Is hostel facility available for students?Hostel for Girls: NMIMS has a well furnished hostel for girls (limited seats) by the name of MKM Sanghavi Girls’ Hostel, which is located close to the University. Along with this a few residential flats are also available for accommodation.
Hostel for Boys: Limited seats are available at G. R. Jani Boys Hostels, which is 1/2 km away from the NMIMS campus. In addition to this, few residential flats are also available for accommodation.
