Avocados are relatively bland with just a suggestion of a creamy flavour. They lend themselves very well to a combination with other more strong tasting ingredients. The more forceful flavours of other ingredients are toned down by the presence of the avocado. The avocado dip has the flesh of the avocado scooped out and mixed to a smooth creamy consistency. Lime juice, salt and pepper are added to the avocado and blended in. Finely chopped onion and tomatoes are then dropped into this mixture and everything is stirred thoroughly so that all the pieces are coated in the seasoned avocado. This dip tastes superb when served with tortilla chips.

Priya's Rasoi Ghar
I have loved cooking from a very early age and learnt from my mother, those little secrets that are passed on from generation to generation. After marriage, I learnt a few more tips from my husband’s family, adding to my repertoire of culinary magic. My husband’s family being Gujarati opened my world to north Indian cuisine, which I’ve cherished cooking for over 25 years now!
Every dish I have made is never by blindly following a recipe. It has always been a labour of love, carefully thought out and incorporating subtle changes to enhance the taste and flavor. In all these years, I have experimented with various cuisines, Indian, of course, but also Chinese, Mexican and Italian, to name a few. Besides the main course dishes, I’ve specialized in chocolates and exotic desserts.
This venture is a culmination of delighting family and friends with interesting and delicious preparations. After much coaxing from them, I have decided to share my culinary secrets with those who see cooking as an art and wish to excel at it.
