Here is a chaat with a more straightforward taste. The combination of flavours is less subtle and the taste is a more robust one. This snack is made with puffed rice, mashed potatoes and puris, chopped onions, tomatoes green chillies and ginger. The whole mixture is topped with the sweet and sour tamarind chutney, green chutney and crispy sev. Bhel puri is a filling snack since it has ingredients like puffed rice as well as puris and potatoes. The freshness of the chopped tomatoes gives an interesting break from the other flavours.

Priya's Rasoi Ghar
I have loved cooking from a very early age and learnt from my mother, those little secrets that are passed on from generation to generation. After marriage, I learnt a few more tips from my husband’s family, adding to my repertoire of culinary magic. My husband’s family being Gujarati opened my world to north Indian cuisine, which I’ve cherished cooking for over 25 years now!
Every dish I have made is never by blindly following a recipe. It has always been a labour of love, carefully thought out and incorporating subtle changes to enhance the taste and flavor. In all these years, I have experimented with various cuisines, Indian, of course, but also Chinese, Mexican and Italian, to name a few. Besides the main course dishes, I’ve specialized in chocolates and exotic desserts.
This venture is a culmination of delighting family and friends with interesting and delicious preparations. After much coaxing from them, I have decided to share my culinary secrets with those who see cooking as an art and wish to excel at it.
