Question Related to Product Activation

Q. Why activation is needed?
Ans: Activation is required in order to access all the application features and to receive support as defined in End User License Agreement.

Q. What is Serial Number?
Ans: Serial Number is a unique key provided to you along with your product purchase which will help you to activate your product. This key is valid for use only on one computer. You will be asked to enter this key as part of activation process.

Q. Do I need to take care of anything while entering Serial number (key)?
Ans: Serial numbers are alpha-numeric and case-sensitive. You have to enter the key in the same sequence as provided along with hyphens ('-').
Also please note :
                        l - represents lower case alphabet L
                        L - represents upper case alphabet L
                        1 - represents digit 1 i - represents lower case alphabet I
                        I - represents upper case alphabet I
                        0 - represents digit zero
                        O - represents upper case alphabet O

Q. How do I activate the software?
Ans: You can activate the software by following the steps listed in the activation guide. Click here to download it.

Q. Which is the recommended activation method - Online or E-mail?
Ans: Online activation is the recommended method of activation. It requires an active internet connection. For machines which do not have an internet connection, activation can be done using E-mail.

Q. How much time does it take to activate the product?
Ans: For customers using online activation (recommended) it takes couple of minutes. E-mail activation can take upto 2 business days.

Q. How do I activate the software using E-mail?
Ans:
E-mail activation is provided only for computers which do not have an internet connection. Please follow steps listed in activation guide to activate a product using email.

Q. Are there any limitations if E-mail activation is used?
Ans: You will not be allowed to do license transfer if software is activated using E-mail.

Q. Why I am provided an option to choose '7 day trial' from the CD that I have purchased?
Ans: Feature has been provided for E-mail activation customers. Since E-mail activation can take upto 2 business days, trial version feature is provided on CD for the user to jump start working on software till he receives unlock keys from us.

Q. I have received unlock keys on my E-mail. Where do I enter these keys to activate my software?
Ans: Unlock keys need to be entered by following steps of E-mail activation during application startup.

Q. My Online activation failed. What should I do?
Ans: If your online activation failed, please check - " If you have an active internet connection " Port 80 is opened on your computer " Your Anti-virus/Firewall is not blocking the request (you can try by temporarily turning it off during product activation) " Your system date-time is set to current date-time If above mechanisms fail, please try after sometime or use E-mail activation option.

Q. I have re-installed the software on my computer. Do I need to reactive it?
Ans: Yes. If you re-install the software on your computer you will be asked to reactivate the software.

Q. I have changed hardware configuration of my machine. Do I need to reactivate it?
Ans: Yes. If you change any hardware configuration on your machine e.g RAM, HDD, CPU, LAN/WLAN cards, Motherboard etc you may be asked to reactivate the software. It is a good practice to backup your data before changing any hardware configuration of your machine.
