Normally starts on the 1st and 15th every month except last two weeks of June, from March till January every year.

Duration : 9 to 12 days

Content : Attunement, Students receive the Master symbol and learn the attunement process; Practice time, short info about setting up a Reiki business, responsibilities of a teacher.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of spiritual healing that uses "universal life energy" which is channeled through the healers hand to the recipient. Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese name that consists of 2 words; Rei and Ki meaning spiritually guided life energy (universal life energy).

It is an energy that animates us all and surrounds us. This energy is known to many ancient cultures and traditions under various names. The Indian “prana”, the Chinese “chi” and the Japanese ki all refer to the same universal energy. My teaching of Reiki is based on the system established by Usui Mikao but also incorporates knowledge and understanding from the ancient Vedic culture.

5 Reiki Principles

Fundamentally Reiki involves channeling the Universal life force or the cosmic force into the body. Its use as a healing system can be expanded to form the basis of one’s way of existence in Life. The 5 Reiki principles form a fundamental basis for Reiki practice but should provide the ethical and moral basis for the life of any Reiki practitioner or teacher.

1. Just for today, I will live the attitude of gratitude

2. Just for today, I will not worry

3. Just for today, I will not be angry

4. Just for today, I will do my work honestly

5. Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbors and every living thing

Benefits of Reiki

Current literature and research have reported various benefits from Reiki treatments. It is now an acceptable form of holistic healing and finds application in some clinical and hospice environment. What are the benefits and effects of Reiki?

• It clears toxins and enhances personal awareness, albeit promoting creativity.

• Reiki adapts to the natural needs of the receiver and can support ones meditation practice

Who can learn Reiki?

Anyone can "learn" Reiki. The ability to use Reiki is given via an attunement or initiation. When attending a Reiki course the participant gets attuned by a Reiki master through a simple process which opens the person to receive and utilize more of the Universal Life Energy. The attunements themselves have a very powerful, balancing and healing effect. Once attuned Reiki is easy to use and your ability to use Reiki will never leave you. In recent years many new symbols have been channeled and can be used by any Reiki 2 and 3 Practitioner.

The Kailash School of Yoga and Holistic Healing offers courses in Reiki 1, 2 and 3. Upon completion of any of those courses, students will receive a manual, a certificate and a lineage list. This will ensure that students can practice Reiki in their country of residency and (in the case of Reiki 2 and 3) take it to a professional level by registering with a national organization.
