After completing Decorating Basics, Course 3: Gum Paste and Fondant is one of two additional Wilton Method courses you can choose. In Gum Paste and Fondant you’ll discover one of the most exciting and satisfying ways to decorate a cake.
Your Wilton Method Instructor will lead you every step of the way as you create amazing hand shaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings.
As you learn each technique – an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders – you’ll be closer to your crowning achievement: A Final Course Cake that showcases your skills.
The confidence you’ll gain as you decorate with gum paste and fondant will enable you to create cakes that will add excitement to your family celebrations for years to come.

Culinary & Cake Decorating School
At CCDS we are focused on developing the students’ relationship with food. We offer hands-on cooking and cake decorating classes designed to tempt your palate while increasing your knowledge and appreciation of the culinary arts. Our aim is to provide a wide range of technical skills while also developing your own individual creative expression.
Each of our cooking sessions with a qualified instructor includes a full sampling of all dishes prepared, course specific handouts and lots of relevant information that is most current. All materials and equipment (other than tools for cake decorating courses) are provided to complete each session successfully.
CCDS has trained several thousands of food enthusiasts since 1995 and we are very proud to be the only specialized cake decorating school in the country. Cake Decorating is not a subject matter for our instructors, it is their life. We are passionate about teaching you the tricks of the trade so that you can make designer cakes like the pros.
