Overview, Content & Syllabus

Receive world-class training in all aspects of animation and visual effects, from drawing and painting, to high-end software and the latest digital workflow management techniques. Students are prepared to enter top animation and VFX studios, while receiving an accredited degree that allows further education.

Overview

The secret to becoming a successful animation/VFX professional has little to do with technology and lots to do with storytelling. Think of the great animated films… in reality, they could have been 2D, 3D or even live action, and they would still be successful productions. Why? Not because they were made with a certain software, but because they have gripping storylines and inspiring characters with great dialogue.

The talent requirement in the Indian animation and VFX industry is not people who know how to use a piece of software that will be obsolete in a few years anyway – but people who understand story, character, camera, editing, and have the artistic skills to bring their visions to life.

This is the huge advantage that students receive when they study Animation and VFX in the largest film school in Asia – shared classes with film students on the elements of cinema that build successful films. Our animation students can also attend the regular guest lectures by leading directors, cinematographers, editors, sound designers and actors.

Our Animation + VFX students are not only animation industry professionals, but also great storytellers.

Admissions Process – Please register using the form on this page. We will contact you to provide you with the application materials. Our admissions office will consider previous academic history, an application essay and the results of our personal interview rounds in selecting candidates for the course.

Apply for Degree Courses

Admissions are now open for our revolutionary degree, masters and MBA programs in media, with specialized courses in film, animation, journalism, advertising, photography, graphic design and media management.

For the first time in India students finishing their 10+2 or graduation have the option of a bachelor’s/graduation or master’s program that combines a broad liberal arts education with intensive training in media production, with options such as film, acting, animation, mass communication or photography.

We believe that in order to be a great filmmaker or media professional, technical skills alone are insufficient. Students should have a fundamental grounding in varying aspects of culture and society, including religion, psychology, philosophy, literature, math and economics.

Lessons in all these areas enrich the student’s life, both professionally and personally, and help the student fulfill their potential no matter what track in media their life takes them.

Our degree programs are fully government accredited and feature exciting exchange opportunities with universities around the world.
