| Eligibility: (Pre-requisites) | Candidates desiring admission into Eastern Institute of Management need to be graduates of any recognized University in India or abroad with consistently good academic records. Those in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. Additionally, all candidates need to have obtained above average percentile / composite score at the MAT, CAT or similar all-India level test. The institute will also accept candidates who have applied and appeared for the group discussion and personal interview process conducted by M-JPAT. |

The 2-Year full-time MBA Program at EIM gives students opportunity and exposure to hone their skills in coping with the demands of a globalized and dynamic business environment.
The Institute being an off-site campus of the University of Kalyani, West Bengal, follows the courses of the University based on the guidelines of the University Grants Commission. Further, the Institute regularly supplements the University curricula with additional courses to develop support skills in students, and equip them with knowledge inputs in relevant areas.
The 2-year Program is divided into four semesters. In the 1st Semester, students learn all compulsory or core courses that introduce them to theories of management and develop their basic skills required for the later stages of the Program. In the 2nd Semester, while covering other core courses, they are introduced to the major areas or functions of management.
An 8-Week Summer Training follows this Semester, where students work with organizations and deal with live problems or projects.
In the 2nd Year of the Program, i.e. in the 3rd and 4th Semesters, they specialize in areas of their choice, while continuing to cover certain core courses.
Further, the program simultaneously covers full courses in communication, soft skills and personality enhancement, training in self-management, time management, corporate orientation and the like.
Dual Specialisation
EIM provides for a unique Dual Specialisation Program.
First, a student can choose his/her University specialisation area from out of the four functional courses currently on offer, viz. Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Development, and Information Technology.
In addition, he/she must choose any of these functional areas (other than the one chosen for University specialisation) for second specialisation.
For the second specialisation, the Institute issues a Certificate cum mark-sheet on successful completion of the Program. In the 4th Semester, students are also required to do a term paper or project.
