Beginners Certificate Programmes in Dance

This class will cover the following: Fundamentals of Movement Technique: Jazz Dance, Classical Ballet, Contemporary African Dance, Modern and Freestyle dancing. In this, Proper alignment and articulation of the body and feet will be emphasised. The class will also include fun exercises combined with music, creative movement, expression, tumbling, rhythm and coordination to round out the students' experience in dance.

The student will increase muscular coordination and control through the use of isolations and combination of isolated movements. The students shall develop rhythmic awareness to music utilising technical dance skills, self-confidence and the ability to execute movement exercises and sequences.

The objective of the academy behind running these Certificate Programmes in Dance is that the students must get to learn more comprehensive skills of dancing rather than stressing on any single dance form. This programme offers structured learning in dance, the courses are designed keeping in mind different levels and age groups of students. From beginners to advance, students are introduced to different techniques, dance theories, facial & theatrical expressions, makeup, costume, choreography and stage direction at higher levels.

This programme is only appropriate for dedicated and disciplined students with a real passion to become a great dancer. There is a proper period for covering each level of training the key aspects of danceing craft. Each year of programme has been divided into two sessions to offer flexibility and better engagement among students and faculties.

Certificates are presented to students on yearly basis after annual day concert on the basis of performance during the year and the recommendation of faculty.
