Salsa

Salsa dancing is a dance style associated with the salsa style of music now popular worldwide. Salsa dancing is done on eight-beat music, with dancers moving on three beats, pausing for one beat, dancing for three beats, and pausing for one beat. During the pause i.e. on beat 4 and beat 8 sort of flourish is utilized, be it a stomp of the foot, casting out the hand or kicking the lower leg. At ADM we believe its about getting the technique right that leads to elegant and correct form of Salsa dancing. We teach L.A. style of salsa, broken down into 3 levels – Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. As you progress through your learning you gradually move to the next level. Therefore when you hit the dance floor, you are at complete ease.

Jive

Jive is an uninhibited version of Jitterbug – which is a form of Swing dance. Modern Jive like most partner dances is a Male – led dance with the leader indicating the moves to the follower (the lady) via a mixture of visual and verbal signals and physical leads. The dancers are generally meant to use a bouncy type of movement. At ADM you are taught to dance these Latin American dances on your toes and Jive on the Ball of your feet. There are a lot of kicks involved in Jive. Jive is more of a fun dance which can be picked up easily with some basic training. Hence we offer complimentary Jive classes when you enroll for Salsa.

Aziz’s Dance Mania, fondly known as ADM began in 2007. It has been 2 years of Dancing, grooving, training and sheer hard work. At ADM we truly believe that “Talent is 1% INSPIRATION and 99% PERSPIRATON.” The motto of the instructors at ADM is hard work and passion. These are the 2 factors given to ADM by its Creative Director Aziz Shah, which differentiates ADM and keeps the zeal ignited and alive. These factors are contagious and hence are successfully passed on to all of ADM’s students.
