Motion Graphics - volume II

Motion graphics are graphics that use video and/ or animation technology to create the illusion of motion or a transforming appearance. These motion graphics are usually combined with audio for use in multimedia projects. You will be learning everything about motion graphics including how to export them for synchronization for further processes.

Motion is an incredibly powerful graphics animation software package that allows you to create stunning visual graphics and special effects. These effects are designed to be implemented into Apple's Final Cut Pro software. Motion is extremely powerful, but yet very complex. This class will introduce you to the critical fundamentals to help harness the powerful features of Motion.

Finishing and Outputting - volume II

Finishing and outputting is as important as a safe landing for a plan. Without proper knowledge of this segment one cannot become a perfect video editor. One should know about creating DVD masters to send out for replication at production houses, and rendering of the projects into the DVD format without encoding to intermediary formats, and streamline production workflow and reduce overhead.

Compressor

Compressor is used for encoding MPEG-1, MPEG-2 for DVD, QuickTime .mov, MPEG-4 (Simple Profile), MPEG-4 H.264 and optional (third Party and often commercial) QuickTime Exporter Components to export to Windows Media, for example. Among its other features is the ability to convert from NTSC to PAL and vice versa and the ability to 'up-convert' from Standard Definition video to High Definition video with feature detail detection to prevent serious quality losses.

Compressor is mainly used to encode Final Cut Pro projects into the necessary DVD MPEG-2 format. Filters can be applied to video during the conversion process, and the video can be cropped.
