This is Thre in One Course ideally suited for those new to travel industry. The course provides an understanding of the industry, describe the travel professional's role, the role of technology in the travel industry and the importance of the technology in the travel industry and the importance of the exceeding customer expectations. In addition, the course teached fundamental skills and competencies linked to industry regulations, standard coding, world geography, quoting air fares and interpreting fare rules, electronic ticketing, passenger travel documents such as passports, visas and health certificates and reservations procedures.

IATA USEFUL INFORMATION
INFORMATION Update as on 1st December 2011
1. Registration for Foundation & Consultant Level is valid for 1½ years from the date of enrolment. It means that the Course has to be successfully completed within 1½ years from date of Registration. The Training duration by the ATC (IITC) will be for 3 to 4 months.
Total Registration Fee Payable as on 01 DEC. 2011 (inclusive of Courier & Exam fee) to IATA is:
Foundation Level - 643US$
Consultant Level - 578US$
The Registration deadline dates set by IITC are -
• 28th November for March Exam
• 27th February for June Exam
• 29th May for September Exam
• 12th September for December Exam
However the ATC (IITC) reserves the right to Stop/ Reject Registrations prior to the IATA-ITDI deadline dates.

2. IATA-ITDI, in a continuous effort to improve the student Examination experience, for all courses has moved from a two-paper format to a SINGLE PAPER format.
The Exams for all sessions are usually held on the 1st Sunday of the week.
However it is possible that the June & December Exams may be held on a week day. It is also possible that the student may have to travel to a different city to write the exam at their own expense.

3. Passing Percentage is 60% for Pass class & 85% for Distinction class.

4. Total number of EXAM attempts - 2 (including the 1st attempt).
An extra 3rd attempt is currently being offered by IATA-ITDI by paying applicable Exam Fees only for all Foundation/ Consultant and Cargo students (EXCEPT DGR).
Students must apply for and re-sit the Third Exam Attempt within one year of having failed the second examination attempt for specific course. No refunds or excuses will be accepted.
Currently as on 1st Decemeber the 3rd Attempt Exam fee is 155 US dollars.

5. The exam papers are set & corrected by IATA-ITDI in Montreal, Canada.
Air-India is the Local co-ordinator for conducting the exams on behalf of IATA-ITDI.
