The Mumbai branch also offers a one-month long, evening, part time programme offering elements from the full-time course in two-modules: Acting and Dance.

This course would focus on providing budding actors a foundation course in Acting and techniques in Acting by our experienced instructors. They provide the students the focus and rigorous discipline necessary for launching into the endeavor of performing arts.

The acting curriculum covers –acting, diction, voice modulation, speech modulation, body language, acting for camera, improvisation, understanding characters etc with Bollywood Dance as an option.

The Part time sessions will be conducted from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, Monday to Friday for a duration of 4 weeks.

Dance session: 6.30pm to 7.30 pm & Acting session: 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Syllabus

Acting Techniques
Methods used by any performer in giving the best and most accurate portrayal of a character. This module teaches various forms of acting: traditional and classical, modern (method/realistic) forms of acting and the post modern, i.e. contemporary methodologies to understand the art of performing arts.

Creative Body Movements
Creative body movements are the soul of acting. The movement classes enable the students to become graceful and energetic, be aware of their bodies in respect to the surroundings, gestures, postures which helps the students understand the scenes more efficiently.

Dance
Actors need to be in sync with tune and rhythm. To equip students to meet the demands of Indian cinema, ACTOR PREPARES has dance instructors in modern dance, Indian dance, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Bollywood routines and also the art of lip-sync.

Voice Culture
Teaches the students in having correct vocal habits which helps them develop their voice. With the help of breathing techniques, the students can strengthen their voice muscles and the effective use of tongue eventually helps understand the nuances of diction and speech.

Diction and Speech
The students are taught the importance of clarity of speech — articulation as well as expressions. This helps them get clarity and distinction of pronunciation in speech or singing
