Basic Electronics:

Electronic Components, Semiconductors, OPamps, microprocessors Multimeters,
Soldering techniques, Printed circuit Boards, Multilayer PCBs, Testing Electronic Components, Electronic Board
Troubleshooting with Signal Generators, Oscilloscope, Logic probes, Frequency counters, Digital and Analog Multimeters etc.
Project 1. Design 5v positive and negative DC Regulated supply for oncoming projects.

Module 2:

Microcontrollers:

8051 series Architecture, Circuit layout, Parts Description and Hands on 8051 development kit,
Interfacing with various devices like 7 segment display, LCD, ADC, RTC, Stepper Motor and Keyboard,
RS232, RS485, I2C Bus interfacing, PIC Microcontrollers.
Project 2. Assemble Your Own 8051 Development Board with Interfaces.

Module 3:

Embedded System Programming:

Programming using C & C++, Function, pointer, Structure, file operation,
Data structure, Hardware Interaction through C (Port handling), OOPs, Object class, inheritance, Polymorphism, Constructor,
Destructor, Virtual Class, inline functions etc.
Project: Programming in Keil software, Layout design in Proteus and testing functionality, Burning code in Microcontroller.

Module 4:

Linux Operating system:

Linux Architecture, kernel internals, Process, interProcess communication(IPC), File systems, I/Os, Linux tools, uc linux,
interrupts protocols, Device Drivers: Introduction, Building and running Modules, Memory management / Interrupt handling etc

Module 5:

Real Time operating systems:

Basic RTOs, Task management, Message Queues, Pipes, Input and Output, Mutual Exclusion and deletion, Interfacing of Linux and TR
Linux, Configuring and Compiling of RT Linux.

Module 6:

ARM Architecture and Programming:

ARM Architecture, ARM/THUMB Programming Model, ARM/THUMB
instruction set, ARM/THUMB Exception Handling, ARM/THUMB
Assembly & C programming, Internet Working and interfacing, uHAL, Angel Debugger, porting of uCos on ARM.

Module 7:

Intro to PIC microcontrollers, Architecture, Programmimng.

How to use MPLAB, Proteus, Keil for PIC programming. Final Project: As selected by student out of several projects list.
