If National Geographic and the Discovery Channel have filled your thoughts with explorations of beautiful coral reef and mysterious shipwrecks then the PADI Open Water Course is your doorway into an incredible new world. Become a certified diver with an internationally recognized license to dive anywhere in the world. This course will teach you the fundamentals of diving through a mixture of theory (5 modules), 2 days of shallow water skills training, equipment orientation and troubleshooting techniques, and 4 open water dives with water skills exercises. The course follows a gradual progression of skill development allowing students to get comfortable in shallow water before practicing skills in an open water environment. The Open Water Diver certification is valid worldwide and does not require renewal.
Note – If you live in Mumbai or Bangalore then join our Scuba In The City program. It allows you to finish the theory and shallow-water skills practice thus leaving more time for you to enjoy the islands when you visit our dive centers to finish your course. Residents of other cities in India can finish their dive theory sessions with Lacadives before coming out to the islands by signing up for the PADI E-learning options.

Lacadives, India’s premier SCUBA diving operator has trained over five thousand beginners besides hosting countless certified divers from all over the globe. Led by a team of expert, qualified, certified divers, Lacadives brings expertise and a passion for diving to your doorstep. Founded by Ad-guru and entrepreneur Prahlad Kakar, himself a CMAS 2 Star Diving Instructor, Lacadives has a vision to safely and expertly impart their training modules to open up the wonders of the sea and its amazing marine life, to new comers enthusiastic about this least explored water dimension of our planet.
Lacadives has pioneered diving in India, setting up the country’s first dive center and (recreational) diver training facility in Kadmat, Lakshadweep in 1995. Since then Lacadives expanded it’s operations to Bangaram and Agatti in the Lakshadweep Islands, and Havelock and Wandoor in the Andaman Islands, making us the only dive operator in the country to offer diving on both sides of the subcontinent.
Currently, Lacadives operates dive centers in Wandoor and Chidiya Tapu in the Andaman Islands, with mainland training centers in Mumbai and Bangalore. We also conduct regular, staff-accompanied live-aboard trips to the top dive destinations in Asia.
The variety of destinations we offer, our ability to cater to divers of all skill levels and our affiliation with some of the leading island research and conservation organizations ensures that your experience with Lacadives will be exciting, educative and memorable.
