For those of you with limited time, the PADI Scuba Diver course introduces you to the basics of Scuba Diving. Participants complete 3 theory modules, 1 day of shallow water skills training and 2 open water dives up to 12 meters , to receive a permanent license that allows you to dive to 12 meters under the supervision of a dive master or instructor. The Scuba Diver certification is valid worldwide and can be upgraded to the PADI Open Water certification at any time. If you have the desire to learn diving but don’t have enough time for it, the Scuba Diver course is a good beginning.
Note – Lacadives recommends that students of diving take the 2-3 extra days to complete the Open Water Course. Our Scuba In The City program now allows you to finish two-thirds of the course material at our Pool Training Facilities in Mumbai and Bangalore so that you can focus on having fun when you get out to our island dive centers.

Lacadives has pioneered diving in India, setting up the country’s first dive center and (recreational) diver training facility in Kadmat, Lakshadweep in 1995. Since then Lacadives expanded it’s operations to Bangaram and Agatti in the Lakshadweep Islands, and Havelock and Wandoor in the Andaman Islands, making us the only dive operator in the country to offer diving on both sides of the subcontinent.
Currently, Lacadives operates dive centers in Wandoor and Chidiya Tapu in the Andaman Islands, with mainland training centers in Mumbai and Bangalore. We also conduct regular, staff-accompanied live-aboard trips to the top dive destinations in Asia.
The variety of destinations we offer, our ability to cater to divers of all skill levels and our affiliation with some of the leading island research and conservation organizations ensures that your experience with Lacadives will be exciting, educative and memorable.
