This programme is designed for dentists who wish to expand and develop their dentoalveolar surgical skills and encompasses patient care and anatomy to the management of complications.
It will equip general dentists with the necessary clinical skills to operate on patients effectively and safely, as well as ensuring that they can provide pre-operative and post-operative care and manage emergency situations. Teaching is normally delivered by means of a mixture of lectures and interactive sessions run in conjunction with practical training sessions in a clinical setting monitored by experienced practitioners.
The programme also includes the theoretical aspects of procedures carried out by consultant maxillofacial surgeons.

Upon Completion of the course you will:

Understand the fundamental principles, theory and safe practice of surgery

Be able to confidently diagnose and treatment plan routine oral surgery cases in your own practice

Be able to perform common oral surgery procedures such as removal of teeth, roots and benign soft tissue lesions

Know when and how to appropriately refer complex oral surgery patients

Know how to diagnose and manage common complications

Understand the principles and surgical procedures used in Implant dentistry.

1) The time can change according to the availability of the course instructors and the batch will be informed priorly to the commencement of the course.
