This is a one-of-a-kind, hands-on course with practice on extracted teeth as well as patients and also included is all the Dental Radiographic procedures that has to be done in this method.

Participants will be taught on Endomotor with apex locator and Dental X-ray systems. Participants will also be taught the latest technique in DIGITAL x-ray film where you do not have to invest in expensive darkroom equipments!

• Modified Crown down technique- inidan scenario

• Working length determination

• Rotary Instrumentation

• Obturation techniques( thermoplaticized and cold)

• Retreatment

• Understanding MTA

• Separation of instruments, causes of breakage & their prevention.

• Introduction to use of ultrasonics in Endodontics.

• Each participant completes RCT on a patient.-depending on patient availability.

• Exposure to Microscopes and loupes.

• Different efficient systems explained to do stress free endodontic treatments.

Objectives

• To perform Rotary Endodontic treatment on patients confidently.

• Knowledge on advanced concepts of endodontic therapy related to armamentarium, diagnostic aids, and endodontic problems to access, clean, shape and operate a root canal system.

• To have good understanding of the biology and anatomy of root canals.

10 day course.

Day 1:

• Whats the need? Of the academy and the course.

• What you need to unlearn before you learn again.

• Aims of endodontic treatement.

• Introduction to your enemies- the microorganisms.

• Must knows and do’s of endodontic treatment.

• Armamentarium- your weapons to kill your enemies.

• Clinical assessment of patient.

• Radiographic evaluation.

• Retreatment cases- when to take up a case.

• Achieving anesthesia.

• Patient preparation.

• Canal morphology.

• Access opening- deroofing the pulp chamber.

Day 2: ( 2 Hours)

• Introduction to ROTARY ENDODONTICS.

• Use of ultrasonics in endodontics.

• TIME MANAGEMENT- DO NOT RUSH.

• Rotary systems.

• Canal preparation.

• Establishing the working length.

• Curved canals- how to approach.- curved canal management.

• Physics behind the rotary system.

• Evidence based dentistry- evidence for rotary.

• Biomechanical preparation- the methods.

• OPEN FORUM: Access opening related mishaps and perforations.

• How to deal with it.

• To be followed by hands on extracted teeth to be brought by the students/ delegates.

• Practice ON PHANTOM HEAD MODELS IN THE WORK STATION.

DAY 3: ( 2 hours)

• Knowing your files.

• Fatigue/ torgue.

• When to obdurate?

• How to obdurate?

• Introduction to thermoplasticisized GP.

• OBTURATION RELATED MISHAPS.

• FOLLOWED BY: onturation of extracted teeth prepared on the previous day.

DAY 4- DAY 8: hands on patients.

• DAY8: introduction to posts.

• Post placement on extracted tooth.

DAY 9- DAY 10: post placement on patient.
