Questions are asked in NDA Exam are from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Geography, History & General Science of standard 10th, 11th & 12th class. Students should study from NCERT books. Age Criteria for UPSC CDS I 2014 Exams
For Indian Military Academy & Indian Naval Academy, unmarried male candidates should not born earlier than 02-01-1991 and later than 02-01-1996. For Air Force Academy, unmarried male candidates should not born earlier than 02-01-1992 and later than 01-01-1996. For Officers Training Academy (Men), unmarried male candidates should not born earlier than 02-01-1990 and later than 01-01-1996 & for Officers Training Academy (Women) unmarried female candidates should not born earlier than 02-01-1990 and later than 01-01-1996.
Educational Qualification required for UPSC CDS I 2014 Exams
For IMA & Officers Training Academy posts candidates should have degree from a recognized University, for Air Force Academy candidates should have degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering and for Indian Naval Academy candidates should have degree in Engineering.
Application Fee for UPSC CDS I 2014 Exams
General and OBC category candidates have to pay Rs.200/- only as application fee either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or through net banking of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. There is no application fee for SC/ST/Female candidates as they are exempted from payment of application fee.

Answer: CDS known as Combined Defence Services is an entrance exam for the selection into Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy.

Answer: For Indian Military Academy the age limit is 19-24 years, for Indian Naval Academy the age limit is 19-22 years and for Officers’ Training Academy the age limit is 19-25 years.

Question: What is the time of CDS notification & examination?
Answer: The notification for the examination of CDS comes generally in the months of October and June, and the examinations are held in the months of February and November.
Question: How many times in a year UPSC conducts CDS entrance exams?
Answer: This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year.
Question: How to do preparation for CDS entrance exams?
Answer: To clear the CDS entrance exams aspirants are advised to follow a planned preparation, a review of previous question papers and to master the art of answering Multiple Choice Questions. Candidates must go through the syllabus of NCERT/CBSE up to tenth level to have a good understanding about the topics. As the exam is objective type, the skills required are speed and accuracy. For Elementary Mathematics candidates are advised to do regular practice with short cut methods, the concepts should be clear in geometry, trigonometry and mensuration. Good command of English especially in grammar, comprehension, spotting errors, ordering of words/sentences, synonyms, antonyms etc are essentially required. The candidate must update himself on events of national and international importance and posses ample information about state, nation and word at large.
The interview focuses on reasoning ability, expression ability to influence other with logical arguments, to take initiative, self confidence, communication skill, courage, a sense of respect towards senior and discipline. That’s why candidate must train himself to think logically and rationally. General awareness of the candidate is also tested by the interviewer.
