Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course (ACLS)

The ACLS Provider two day workshops provide medical personnel the advanced resuscitation techniques in cardiac arrest. Providers are expected to learn the following

• Airway management techniques

• Use of drugs like Adrenaline

• Use of defibrillators and trans-cutaneous pacing and Cardioversion

• Identification of cardiac rhythms and their management and Skill stations

• Scenario based teaching

• Four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) Skill stations

• Stroke

Intended Audience
This module is aimed at Personnel staffing emergency, Intensive Care or Critical Care Departments; emergency Medical Providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
Course Length - 16 hours
Student Materials - ACLS Provider Manual, Required or ACLS Text, Reference
AHA Card - On course completion valid globally.
Written / Skills Exam - Required for completion card.
