Eligibility:
(Pre-requisites)

Graduate in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% marks) from any recognized university is eligible for Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.

Candidate should have appeared for CAT 2012, XAT 2013, MhCET 2013, ATMA 2012, MAT 2012 and C-MAT 2013. (IIMs have no role in the admission process)

All applicants will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Applicants having purchased the application kit will have to fill out the details required and submit the same. iFEEL will then select the students on the basis of their overall performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Institute of Future Education, Entrepreneurship and Leadership, iFEEL, is committed to produce Leaders and Entrepreneurs through contemporary and comprehensive business management courses. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management has the flexibility to incorporate the new trends in business while still providing basic management education.

Our 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Management, PGDM program has special focus on Entrepreneurship and Leadership excellence that also takes into account industry suggestions and feedback and we adopted 'Industry-Integrated Curriculum' combined with Leadership and Entrepreneurship development.

The present intake for the pgdm course is 120 seats to enable personalized attention thereby providing better quality of teaching.

Course Structure

Program Structure

Institute of Future Education Entrepreneurship and Leadership (iFEEL) offers 2 year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (AICTE approved) with special focus on Entrepreneurship and Leadership. The trimester system followed in the program will engage students in several live projects and activities that help them to shape their personality. Subjects like Strategic Management, Business Ethics and Corporate Governance, Business Environment, Change Management, Corporate Tax Planning, Operating Systems, Decision Models for Management, Specialization projects and many more have been incorporated into the curriculum to shape the students to make meaningful contribution in the corporate world.

The program offers specialization in Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Operations and Information Systems and Technology in the second year. Students may select the electives in these areas as per his / her career goals.

Course Requirements

The Institute offers 69 courses in the PGDM program, made up of 32 core courses, 37 elective courses and Summer Internship Program (SIP) (the course contents are given later in this booklet). In addition, seminar courses are offered in topics of contemporary relevance. Orientation courses are offered in specific courses according to the concerned faculty's teaching requirements in that particular course. Orientation and core courses are common to all students.

The concept of credits is used to define the weightage of a course in the curriculum. The courses have two or three credits, depending on the coverage of topics. The seminars have one credit. 'One credit' connotes 10 classroom contact hours. Thus, a two-credit course involves 20 classroom contact hours and a three-credit course involves 30 classroom contact hours.

The total number of credits (excluding seminar courses) for the 69 courses offered by the Institute is 168. This is distributed as follows:

The Institute adopts a Trimester pattern and each Trimester comprises of 12 weeks duration and minimum of 50 days of teaching / classroom interaction.

Elective Courses

Elective courses are offered in the IV, V and VI terms. The minimum number of credits to be taken is indicated in the table above. The specific electives in each of the three terms will be indicated and students are required to make their choice of credits term-wise. If the number of enrolment for an elective course is less than 5, it will not be offered.

Seminar Courses

The student can participate in any number of seminars. He/ She will have to nominate 3 seminars to be reported in the grade card.

Evaluation Procedure

The evaluation procedure for the PGDM is based on:

  • Course-wise evaluation (Grade Point – GP)
  • Term-wise evaluation (Grade Point average – GPA)
  • Cumulative term-wise evaluation (Cumulative Grade Point average – CGPA)

Two month Summer Internship

At the end of the first year, students are required to undertake projects with organizations. The project assignment intends to expose students to the working of the corporate world and to sharpen their thinking skills for innovative ideas. The work assignment is of 60 days duration and a detailed report has to be submitted at the end to the respective mentor.
