Carve out a path for your imagination and, literally, create a niche for your artistic expression through sculpting! An art form that is three dimensional in nature, sculpting gives you a sense of pure creation, translating your thoughts into tangible art.
At Sculptor’s Hut, Dewakar gives you an opportunity to learn and explore the art of Sculpting using stoneware clay, Earthenware Clay , Synthetic Clay and Wax . Introduction to Sculpting through Clay, Sculpting Tools and Fundamental Sculpting Techniques will be covered in Level 1.
Dewakar will teach all the integral parts of sculpting that include - Preparation of clay (Wedging, Kneading, Coil Making, Slab rolling, Pinching and Joining clay), Technique of making a mould using Plaster of Paris, Construction of an armature, Demonstration on modeling a 3D form, Solid Modeling, Hollow Modeling and 2D Relief Work.
Amateur participants can work on simpler subjects like birds, hollow horse, African masks etc., while experienced participants can try their hand at human faces, anatomy etc.

Life & Art is the brainchild of Dewakar - artist, sculptor, creator. Life & Art is an Art Learning Center located in Adyar, Chennai, offering Pottery Classes, Tanjore Painting Classes, Drawing & Painting Classes, Sculpting Classes and more.
Dewakar envisioned a forum for artists and aspiring artists to grow, teach and learn from one another. Life & Art is a place to learn different art forms and connect with likeminded people, who share a passion for art.
Life & Art is located in Adyar, Chennai and all the art classes are taught in a serene Air-Conditioned facility. Weekend Art & Pottery Classes with flexible timings are available for kids and adults.
It is an opportunity for all of us who carry art in our hearts, to learn, teach and explore together in the vast landscape of art. Our objective is to spread knowledge about art and help artists of any genre extend their horizons to other genres as well.
