What is Neet?

The central government had planned to conduct national level common entrance exam called National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Medical/ Dental courses admissions across the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi is organizational body for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). CBSE conducts the NEET exams for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical/Dental courses admissions. For Undergraduate its said as NEET UG and for Postgraduate it is said as NEET PG.

NEET UG:

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate Medical/Dental courses like MBBS/ BDS admissions across the whole country. To attain the eligibility for appearing in these exams is that the candidate should obtain maximum marks in NEET exams held for the said academic year besides obtaining minimum prescribed marks at the qualifying examinations. This is necessary as all the admissions for MBBS/BDS shall be completely based on the marks obtained in the NEET exams.

NEET PG:

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for the Postgraduate Medical/ Dental courses helps you to apply for the courses like MD/MDS/MS and any PG diploma degree across the country. NEET-PG is the eligibility cum ranking examination considered as the entrance examination to various MD/MS/MDS and PG courses under various range of Postgraduate Medical Regulations as notified by Medical Council of India (MCI) with approval of the Ministry of Health and family Welfare.

NEET Exam Pattern :

• The exams pattern includes Multiple Choice based questions (MCQ)
• A student will be able to apply offline or online, based on his/her convenience
• NEET examinations will be held at All District Head Quarters of each state.
• Exam Pattern: - Physics: 45Qs. Chemistry: 45Qs; Botany: 45Qs. Zoology: 45Qs.
• Total Time: - 3 hours (180 minute).
• Exam Language / Medium:- English and Hindi.
