Beat Station DJ School

Founded in Jan 2010, Beat Station is an initiative by DJ AmuL Lokanathan [NH7,F Bar Mumbai & ZENZI]. He has been in the industry for over 8 years now. He is one of the major players in Mumbai’s clubbing scene. Beat Station was formed with the sole purpose of providing high quality and effective training in DJing techniques to upcoming talent from the Central Suburbs of Mumbai.

Beat Station is located in Dombivli. The studio boasts of the latest industry standard Pioneer Equipments & Technics Turntables. He has chalked out three courses namely Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. There is this also a special course on Music Management.

Batch strength is small since personal attention is given to each and everyone.

DJ AmuL has had experience at dispensing this knowledge effectively. He has taught students at Azaredo Acoustics and also taken classes at Zenzi. Besides this DJ AmuL has also been teaching celebrities like hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani, India’s No. 1 Salsa guru Kaytee Namgyal, one of the topmost popular female DJs Candy D’souza, photographer Journalist Nikita Sawant and Dubstep Producer Asmita Parashar aka HOOdub to name a few.

Starting to spin professionally from the young age of 19, Amul learnt his technical skills with the art of mixing from Grandmaster Jo & hasn't looked back since. In 2007 Amul’s flawless technical skills, intrinsic track-cum-tune selection & positive attitude bagged him an envious profile as a ‘Resident DJ’ at Zenzi, a venue in Mumbai reputed for supporting and promoting cutting edge underground music and art. Amul is as local as you can get with a truly global outlook.

Amid his musical voyage, perfectly intersecting the quality/quantity axis, DJ Amul has collaborated and performed with end number of Indian & International DJs, Producers and Musicians. He has played with bigwigs like Kris Correya , B.L.O.T, DJ Steve, DJ JC Jason (Trilogy, Dubai), Bass Society aka Nasha, DJ MarcRobijn (Supperclub, Amsterdam), Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Shiva SoundSystem (U.K), Funk D'Void (Barcelona), Pawas Gupta (Daso & Pawas, Germany), Ravi Chari Quartet and many other Vocalists, Percussionists and Instrumental Musicians. DJ Amul continues to present his original and unique sound, branding to an inquisitive party crowd that is swiftly developing into a community of loyal fans.

During his Residency Zenzi Amul has played in other cutting-edge venues like Blue Frog, Aurus, Canvas, Wink, Lagerbay, Bonobo, The Zoo & Shalom [Delhi], Blend [Chennai], Bacchus [Bangalore] etc. & also played for Bacardi NH7 Weekender preparty.
