The 2nd Common Written Examination (CWE-PO/ MT-II) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Public Sector Banks mentioned below.

The scores awarded to qualified candidates are also likely to be used by a few other Banks and Financial Institutions like IDBI Bank, ECGC etc. for selection for entry level Officers’ posts. The above tests except the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition will be printed bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective tests will be evaluated.
INTERVIEW
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE PO/MT-III will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CWE PO/MT-III and Interview.
A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview to be shortlisted for subsequent allotment process, details of which will be available subsequently on IBPS website.

ALLOTMENT
On completion of the interview process, depending on the available vacancies, candidates shortlisted will be allotted to one of the Participating Organisations, keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc.
A candidate who is shortlisted will forfeit his/her candidature/ chance for the process if he/she does not avail the offer of appointment from the Participating Organisation, if allotted.
The decision of IBPS in allotment of Organisations shall be final and binding upon the selected candidates. However IBPS reserves the right to cancel, reallot Organisation-wise allocation depending upon exigencies or otherwise. Offer of appointment is solely the decision of the Participating Organisations and shall be final and binding. IBPS has no role here.
HOW TO APPLY FOR CWE:
Application Fees/ Intimation Charges [Payable from 22.07.2013 to 12.08.2013 (Online payment) and 24.07.2013 to 17.08.2013 (Offline payment) both dates inclusive]
While applying online, the applicant should have;
a. valid personal email ID,
b. the application fee remittance details,
c. scanned photograph and signature as per the requirement.
The name of the applicant or his /her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appearsin the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
After applying on-line, the candidate should immediately take a printout of the system generated on-lineapplication form, ensure the particulars filled in are accurate and retain it for future reference.
Note: All the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Applicant, Category, Dateof birth, Address, Email ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and no modifications will beallowed after the last date specified for Editing/ Updating the same. Candidates are hence requested to fill in theonline application form with utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.
Note:As every bank is free to decide the eligibility criteria for its officers or clerks, the candidates must readthe notification carefully and ensure their eligibility before making an application.
SPECIALIST OFFICER’S CADRE (SPECIAL OFFICER) EXAMS
Banks also conduct recruitment exams for Specialist Officers cadre to man their finance, legal, humanresources, marketing, systems and other departments which are open to candidates having requisite professionalqualifications in engineering, chartered accountancy, law or a degree of MBA, MCA, etc.

Please note that the above referred new method of selection (i.e. CWE by IBPS) has approval of Government ofIndia and consent of Board of each participating banks (i.e. 19 Nationalized Banks as listed hereinabove andManaging Committee of Indian Banks Association. These banks conduct their own exams for recruitment of clerks and officers. However the exam pattern andsyllabus is almost identical to that of the CWE conducted by IBPS.
