1. Posts are filled as per the requirement and the vacancies for the post of the police sub inspector of the government of Maharashtra for the Grade –B.
2. Details of post- Listed-Grade-B Place of appointment- at any government office of the police.
3. Band Salary and Grade Salary- Rs 9,300-34,800; 4,300 in cents extra.
4. Promotions- as per the age and qualifications are posted as assistant police or the post above them.
5. The number posts, their reservations, and other details are displayed through notices and are given to candidates by the government of Maharashtra.
EXAM PATTERN
Stages of the examination-
The exam is been conducted in the four stages-

Prelim exam is conducted to decrease the number of the candidates appearing for the Mains exam. The candidate who passes the Prelim exam is only eligible for the Mains exam.
The marks of the Prelim exams are not declared to the candidates.
The candidates who pass their Mains exam are eligible for the physical test and the candidates who get at least 100 marks in the physical test are only eligible for the Interview
The candidates who fulfill all the terms and conditions according to the notice and have all the original papers during the time of the Interview are only eligible for the Interview.

Prelim exams results-
1. Number of candidates to be filled in the post are been selected through the cut off line, the cut of line is different for the ladies, handicap, and sport persons.
2. Only for the candidates who are of general category are eligible for general posts during selection.
Eligibility for exam-
i. Candidates who passed their prelim exam and who fulfill the terms and conditions are only eligible to appear for Mains Exam.
ii. The candidates who are eligible for the mains exam are informed through e-mails or SMS, they must choose their centres for exams online per the government notice and should pay the fees. Otherwise they will not be allowed to sit for the exams.
iii. While filling the form for prelim the candidates who are not graduates are allowed to give the date of graduation and exam fees till the last date of filling the form for the mains exams.

Stages of exam: 3 stages – Written Paper, Physical Test and Interview
Paper I-English and Marathi –common words (sabdha sangraha), sentence formation, grammar, proverbs and types of sentences – their kinds and uses, answer the following from given paragraph.
Paper II- General Knowledge, Mental Ability (budhi mapan) and knowledge
Following topics and sub- topics are given under Mental Ability-
1. Current affairs (30 marks)- worldwide and Indian
2. Mental ability test (40 marks) - Numerical Maths, Addition, Subtractions, Multiplication, Division, (sarasari) Decimal and Fraction and (budhi yank mapanasi sambandhit prasana).
3. Mumbai police rule (10 marks).
4. Human rights and duties(40 marks)- International human rights, human rights and duties of the citizens of India, Illiteracy, unemployment, poverty,
social, cultural, and castisem, protection of women’s from the household trouble, protection of SC/ST casts from the violence, etc.
5. Geography of Maharashtra (30 marks) - Physical geography of Maharashtra, mains physiographic departments due to cultivation, rivers,
mountains and hills, government department, parliament department, natural diversity- forests and their diversity, human and social geography,
population migration of population- their source and destination- effect on them, village development- slum and their issues and developments.
6. History of Maharashtra (25 marks) - rise in social and financial status (1885-1957), work done by the important peoples, role of news papers and
education in developing India socially before independence,
7. Indian government issue (15 marks)-What is the reason for the rise of issue and the role and ethics behind the issue, fundamental rights,
fundamental duties, uniform civil code, role of prime minister and the panel of ministers, right and duties, parliament and the members of the
parliament, their rights and duties and their role.
Results of the written exam-
1. Double or triple of the total sites available for the candidates are selected for the interview. The cut off line is decided that may be same or different for
the different categories or for ladies or sports person.
2. For every category the cut off line is decided.
3. For the candidates belonging to the General Category, they must get 35% and for Backward Classes they must get 30%, while the persons who are
physically handicap, wise soldiers, sports persons must get 20% marks. The candidate may get only one facility from the above.
4. The result of the written exam is displayed through the main newspapers, the candidates who are eligible for the interview are informed through e-
mails or SMS.
5. SC/ST and the other back ward classes and the person who are physically handicap, women, wise soldiers and sports persons, during the time of the
recommendation, they are only eligible for the general posts.
PHYSICAL TEST

For the above exam before the selection of the candidates, the physical test results are checked by the government officer, if the candidate does not pass in the test, then they are not eligible for the post.
Physical test- (200 marks)
1. Candidates who pass in the Mains exam are only eligible for the physical test, these candidates have to appear for the physical test on the given place
at given time in their own expense.
2. The candidates who fulfill the limit of height and chest will only be able to give the physical test, the test will be independent for men and women.

4. If any candidate has any complaints or problems regarding the height and chest, then they must report the same to the officers on the same day, then the candidates are allowed to attend the physical test on another chosen day. The candidate who clears the physical test is allowed to appear for an interview.
5. For the practice of the physical test, the candidates may use the exercise ground of the state and also take the guidance of the trainers with the permission of the officers.
6. The candidate who gets at least 100 marks in the physical test will be called for an interview at fixed time and place, where they have to come by their own expense
INTERVIEW
1. After the results of the physical test, the candidates are called for an interview of the post of the Police Sub Inspector. The interview carries 75 marks.
2. The candidates who fulfil all the conditions and all the papers mentioned in the form have their papers checked and interview of those candidates who have all the papers is conducted, the candidates who do not have their papers are debarred from giving interview.
3. As per the above result of the written exams result the candidates who are eligible for an interview are called at the place decided at the decided time.
FINAL RESULT-
The final list is displayed after the addition of the marks of the written exam, physical test and the interview. If the marks of two candidates are same then the ranking is decided according to the general notice of the candidates.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. The recommendation is sent to the government office as per stated in the general notice for the candidates.
2. After the interview, the candidates are informed as early as possible about their selection in the recommendation and the names of the candidates are also displayed on the website.

1. (Anka ganit) math-addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, probability (sarasri),(dasans apurnak) decimal fractions.
2. Geography (geography of Maharashtra)-Earth, Area of world, Climate, (akashanks-rakhanks), Types of soil of Maharashtra, Cultivation, Prime crops, Cities, Rivers, Occupations and Jobs.
3. Common History of India- From 1857 to 1947.
4. Civics and (artha vavastha)-general knowledge of the affairs of India, public constitution(prasasan), local constitution, importance of the five year plan of India.
5. General science- Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Hygiene.
6. Current affairs- World and Indian
