Navras Art Academy

Navras Art Academy is a multi-disciplinary school for various arts which enable hlistic devlopment for all age groups.Started as Navras Nityalays primarily as an institution in the field fo karhak by Radhika Phanse, an established exponent of Kathak, it has now evolved in to a fill-fledged art academy encompassing other forms of indian dance as well as western dance forms. Besides which it also covers other art forms such as music, painting, crafts, origami, kalaripayattu and yoga.

• Radhika is Nritya Alandar of the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, trained under guru Smt. Aasha Joglekar (Post-gradute in the Kathak dance form)

• She is an impaneled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, ICCR)

• Radhika has also trained under famous dance exponents mentioned below: Pandit Birju Maharaj (Lucknow Gharana) Dr Kanak Rele (Nritya Abinaya) Smt Indumati Lele )Folk dance)

• Founded Navras Art Academy in 1997 and has since then trained a large number children in the kathak dance form including some deaf and mute students.

• Is on the panel of judges of the Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya

• Has judge competitions on television channels, schools and colleges.
