Established in October 1994, to commemorate the memory of the late Smt. Gayatri Devi Goenka, mother of the Chairman, Mr. A. K. Goenka, the G.D. Goenka Public School is an English Medium, Co-educational Senior Secondary School run by the G.R. Goenka Education Society and has classes from Nursery, K.G. to Class XII.

Academically, the results have been extremely good with many students securing distinctions in all subjects. Twice our students have topped the Commerce Stream in Delhi in CBSE Class XII Exams. Many students have been securing Merit Certificates from C.B.S.E. for being among the top 0.1% in their subjects at All India level.

In sports and other co-curricular activities also, the School’s students have won several gold and other medals and trophies especially in swimming, martial arts, shooting, basketball, cricket, music, drama, debates, paintings, etc. Some of our students were selected to represent the Delhi State in the Nationals. Admission Criteria

For Nursery (Pre-School) admissions, advertisements are usually given in leading newspapers around 1st week of December or as per the calendar prescribed by the Directorate of Education. Applicants meeting the admission criteria are short-listed and then names displayed in the School by the prescribed dates. Admissions are generally finalized by March. Ten per cent seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Society.

Admissions to other classes are against vacancies arising out of withdrawals. Admission closes by end July and any further admission is subject to availability of seat and approval by the Directorate of Education and/or CBSE.

Established in 1994, G.D.Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, was the brainchild of Shri Anjani Kumar Goenka. He aimed to immortalize the name of his mother Shrimati Gayatri Devi Goenka and hoped to provide the students a sound education unheard of in the NCR before. His innovative mission reached the pinnacle of success due to the detailed execution of plans by Shrimati Renu Goenka. Her finesse and sensitivity worked in unison with Shri Anjani Kumar Goenkas’ ambitious enterprise, to give the school its present standard.
