All students have to appear for the NIFT Situation Test after their selection in the written exam. This test plays a very important role in the final selection. It comprises of 3-D model making using the materials provided to them. A candidate has to create one or two 3-D models within the limited time. The students are judged on the basis of aesthetic appeal, creative and clever manipulation of given materials in an appropriate theme. It is advisable to spend first few minutes of the given time in thinking and drawing a rough sketch of your idea. Decide things to be done first and at last.

MATERIALS FOR NIFT SITUATION TEST 2014

The materials provided to the students may include
Different kind of papers – This may include papers of different qualities & thickness like chart paper, crepe paper, silver / golden paper, both side coloured paper, paper with cloth backing, catridge sheets, ivory sheet etc.
Thermocol , Wire, String, Popsicle Sticks / Ice Cream Sticks, Cardboard, All Pins, Clay, Straw, Plastic Sheets, Cotton, Bamboo Sticks, Ribbon , Corrugated Sheet.
Students are advised to carry some stationeries along with like a pair of scissors, paper cutter, sharpened pencils, compass, protactor, fevicol with nosel, feviquick, blue/black ball point pen, sand paper etc.
