Admission Details
University:
We are providing career counselling and coaching to the students enrolled with Universities recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, All the state Governments, University Grant Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian University (AIU).
Program Duration:
The duration of the M.L.I.Sc Programme is 'One' academic year from the year of Admission to the Programme.
Medium of Instruction
Medium of Instructions for MLISc programme is English. University will supply study material for the students which is in SLM pattern, in addition to face to face counseling. The guidelines will be in English medium. Each course is divided into 3 to 5 Blocks. Further, each block is divided into 3 to 5 Units. The students will receive 37 books in all for the entire programme. Students are given the option to write answer in kannada or in English.
Title of the Programme
The Programme is a Post-graduate course in Library & Information Science leading to the award of Master Degree in Library & Information Science, i.e. M.L.I.Sc.
Assignments:
Internal Assessment is an integral part of the Open Distance Learning System. The main purpose of Internal Assessment is to assess the ability of student in understanding the Study Material. To facilitate the Distance Learners, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has adopted the assignment system. There are Nine Courses in the Programme. In each Course there are five Assignment Questions and three Short Notes. Student should submit two written assignment questions and three short notes compulsory in each course.
The student should write his/her Name, Enrollment number, Course, Subject and phone number while submitting the Written Assignment to the University. While submitting the Original Written Assignments to the University student should preserve the Xerox Copies of all the assignments. Most importantly, student should submit his/her Written Assignments to the University, during the year of his/her Admission only. The student should submit his/her Assignment on or before March 31, 2012 without fail. Student has no opportunity of submitting the Written Assignments in

Evaluation Procedure
Evaluation for each course covers two aspects: a.Internal assessment (IA) through assignments with a weightage of 20% b.Term-end examination having a weightage of 80%
