Admission Details

University:

We are providing career counselling and coaching to the students enrolled with Universities recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, All the state Governments, University Grant Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian University (AIU).

Program Duration:

Duration of the BLISc Programme is 'One' academic year from the year of Admission to the programme.

Other Information:

1. The maximum duration for the completion of B.A/B.Com Programme shall not exceed two times the duration (Six years) of the particular Programme, from the date of admission to the Programme (including the year of admission).

2. Candidates who discontinue their studies for more than four academic years after joining a Programme shall have to seek fresh admission.

Evaluation Procedure:

Evaluation for each course covers two aspects:

• Internal assessment (IA) through assignments with a weightage of 10%

• Term-end examination having a weightage of 90%

Assignments:

Internal Assessment is an integral part of the Open Distance Leaning System. The main purpose of Internal Assessment is to assess the ability of student in understanding the Study Material. To facilitate the Distance Learners, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has adopted the assignment system. There are Eight Courses in the Programme. In each Course there are five Assignment Questions and three Short Notes. Student should submit two written assignment questions and three short notes compulsory in each course. The student should write his/her Name, Enrollment number, Course, Subject and Phone number while submitting the written Assignment to the University. While submitting the Original Written Assignments to the University student should preserve the Photo Copied of all the assignments.

Most importantly, student should submit his/her Written Assignments to the University, during the year of his/her Admission only. The student should submit his/her Assignment on or before March 31, 2011 without fail. Student has no opportunity of submitting the Written Assignments in subsequent years other than the year of his/her admission. In case, failing to submit hand written Higher Education to Everyone Everywhere Karnataka State Ksou Open University assignments, such candidates are not eligible for the completion of this programme. After getting admission to the university, the student must submit his/her Written Assignments. Each Assignment has to be written separately, tagged and put them in one cover, with full address and submitted at the respective study centre.

Bachelors Preparatory Programme (BPP):
Additional details:

1. Any candidate who has not passed Pre-university examination or 10+2 level examination will have to complete BPP.

2. BPP examination will be held on the last day of BA Apr 2010 Examination at different Examination Centres. There is no supplementary BPP Examination.

3. The BPP examination will be conducted for 120 marks (100 marks for cognate subject and 20 marks for languages).

4. Study materials in English and Kannada medium will be handed over to students at the time of admission at the KSOU headquarters.For others it will be sent by post.

5. For repeaters : Students have to pay Rs.100/- as Exam Fee in addition to regular exam fee.

Classification of Successful Candidates:

University will declare results both in Grade and Class.
