The 2D Animation Course develops students’ appreciation of the technique and craft involved in hand-drawn 2D animation, and promotes the understanding and successful application of the fundamental principles of traditional animation. Using pencil and paper to explore this art form, students are physically responsible for controlling and manipulating a subject’s volume, weight, proportion, acting, and movement, thus gaining a more thorough understanding of the animation process. This foundation of traditional animation broadens students’ skills as computer animators and enhances their creative ability.

The unique 2D Animation course provides an opportunity for amateur animation enthusiasts to unleash their passion for 2D Animation. The programme encourages individualism and brings student's creativity to next level. Students will learn the practical knowledge and software skills necessary for 2D character animation.

2D Animation or classical Animation has been the art form’s most popular medium for over a century now. This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concept of classical animation. The classes focus on hand-drawn, frame by frame animation in order to best teach the principles through a series of assignments.

This Course Provides students with the advanced knowledge in principles of classical animation. The student will learn concept such as squash and stretch, timing, path of action ,anticipation, Action-reaction, weight, volume & staging. This course will also develop the student‘s animation design sense, with exercises in character design. The Student will also learn technical skills to produce animation, such as how to flip and draw, and how to film animation using Light boxes & using punch sheets. Skill learned will be applied throughout the digital Animation Program.
