Foundation 1 (VINYL DJ)
This foundation module teaches the students about the traditional setup of 2 turntables and a mixer. The course allows learners to get to grasps with the manual element attached to vinyl DJing, getting their hands used to the delicate movements that are required for the pro level.
Foundation 2 (CD DJ)
The Pioneer Pro DJ line has been at the forefront of digital DJing for many years. The CD DJ module will give learners a chance to learn and understand legendary Pioneer specific features like looping, hot cues and FX on international standard console equipment models like CDJ900, CDJ350 and DJM 850.
Foundation 3 (Traktor with Controllers)
A dedicated introductory course in the usage of Native Instruments’ Traktor-specific MIDI controllers. Learn to explore your musical possibilities by learning the various features of Traktor controllers like Kontrol X1 and S2.
Foundation 4 (Tracktor DJ for iPad)
Native Instruments’ Traktor iPad application has been quite a revolutionary piece of software that allows the student to understand and practise on Traktor-based software on their iPhones or iPads. This is a great way to get introduced to the world’s leading DJ software, and an introduction to pro courses like Traktor DVS and Controller modules.
Eligibilty
Students need no previous experience or qualifications to register for these foundation courses.
The sessions are geared towards absolute beginners and are a stepping stone to the professional DJ courses.
No academic qualifications are required for any of the courses, though basic computer skills are essential.
The students should be fluent in English as that would be the medium of instruction.
This course will help students learn the absolute basics across a whole range of DJ equipment, and brings them on par with the skills required to enrol in our professional courses.
They will have access to everything from vinyl to the latest digital technology.
