Wildlife Photography (specialisation)

Our Wildlife Photography Course concentrates primarily centred on enhancing your skills to produce consistent, high-quality wildlife photographs. This is not a complete beginner's course in photography, and assumes that you have the knowledge in place to use a digital camera in a mode other than "point-and-shoot" where the camera does everything for you. Experienced wildlife photographers will teach this course & will be divided into classroom theory as well as field practical. Wildlife photographers will accompany you to wildlife century, where you’ll live a life of a wildlife photographer.

In this 4-week course, our wildlife photographer shares with you his methods for getting within telephoto range of shy animals as well as the best equipment to use, macro techniques that will open a whole new world for you, and the ideal lighting conditions the produce fine art images. There is nothing as exciting as capturing the beauty and intrigue of wildlife or the endearing expression or antics of a pet, and in this course DCOP’s wildlife tutor helps you do just that. They can also advise you what equipment you should buy for optimum results when shooting animals, given your budget considerations.

Theory classes & classroom based learning: You’ll see work of various wildlife photographers and discuss about it with professionals.

Finding Great Wildlife Subjects & Getting Close:Here you’ll get a chance to be close to wildlife You’ll visit a wildlife century in a group, accompanied by experienced wildlife photographer and roam wildlife gypsys n jeeps and take pictures.

Macro Photography:You’ll learntakingmacro photos with any subject where you fill a significant portion of the frame with the subject. Watch the background (no distracting elements or clutter) and pay attention to your depth of field.

Wildlife Portraits & Lighting:In wildlife photography its essential to shoot under natural lighting and it may besunrise/sunset lighting and/or under an overcast sky soft, diffused light or may be dark. You’ll explore your camera and experiment to get best image of wildlife or nature. You’ll also see the use of filters and how they can change the image.

Capturing the Action: You’ll learn how to shoot sharp rendition of wildlife in action or a blurred rendition.

While strong wildlife images can be produced with normal and wide-angle lenses, it is extremely important in this course to have at least a moderate telephoto: 200mm (4X digital) is a minimum.
