Eligibilty
Students need no previous experience or qualifications to register for these foundation courses.
TSM reserves the right to place students into the correct grade basis the audition, the student's skill level and any previous training and certification that they might have.
The sessions are geared towards absolute beginners and are a stepping stone to the professional drum courses.
The students should be fluent in English as that would be the medium of instruction.
This course will teach techniques that enable drum students to perform music from a rich and diverse repertoire, ranging across blues, country, gospel, rock & roll, heavy metal, classic rock, jazz, drum n’ bass and more.
Students will study Ensemble Performance, Instrumental Technique, Tone and Sound Production, Sight-Reading, Notation, Music Theory, Improvisation and many other important ancillary musical skills.
