DIRECTION, SCRIPT WRITING & PRODUCTION DESIGNING:

Script Writing, Screenplay, Direction, Production Design, Production Aesthetics, Sets Designing, Art Direction, Costume & Properties, Make-Up, Elements in Film & TV Production, Concept, Pre-Production, Production (Cinematography), Post-Production (Sound & Editing).

CATEGORY-II

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & EDITING:

a) Still Photography:

Camera (Types of Camera), Diaphragm opportune, Shutter Speed, exposure & exposure meter, Flash synchronizing, Film speed (ASA variety of films) Cru ages (35 mm, 120, square), Lenses (normal to zoom), Processing-developing (B&W – Color), Chemicals & Printouts.

b) Digital Camera (Still):

Functioning, Chips, Memory Card, Parts of Camera & its functioning, Flash – Manual & Auto – Digital, Blow-up, Indoor lighting-Modeling, Outdoor-Industrial to top photography, Wildlife, Dress, Cain Stills, Comical Photo lamination.
c) Cinematography & Videography:

Video formats-VHS, U-Matic, Beta, Digital Video (DV), Handling Cameras, Electronic News Gathering, Electronic Field Production. Sound & Sound Recording, Dialogue, Music & Effects, Mixing. Editing – Linear and Non-Linear Editing, Titling, Graphics.

CATEGORY-III

ACTING, DRAMA, DANCE & ACTION:

Acting for Film, Theatre & Television. Imagination, observation & improvisation. Mime, movement & playback.


Yoga, Voice-Diction & Speech: Asanas about flexibility of the body and respiration exercises. Basic exercises of voice, radio reading, TV news reading, announcements, paraks, shlokas, tongue twisting exercises, space writing etc.

Physical Theatre: Head to Toe exercises, Body movement exercises, Flexibility exercises, Rhythmic body movements, Voice with Physical theatre, Mirror exercises, Mime & Pentamime

Dance: Basics steps in Folk dance, Western & film dance, Classical, Movement, Playback with synchronizing.

Stunt & Actions:

Jumps / Falls, Rolls, Twists etc. Physical Training, Gymnastics, Acrobatics, Weight Training, Mini-trampoline jumps, Traditional Fights and Martial Arts, Rhythmic fist fight, action & reaction etc.

Special effects: Cable work, fire effects, blasting effects, stunt safety etc.

Note:

a) The above classes will be conducted by eminent film directors, theatre personalities, technical experts, eminent personalities from film & television industries, dance masters, stunt masters, instructors etc.

b) Students will have to make a documentary & short films at the end of course.

Ranga Shikshna Kendra

(Drama School)

We have started a one-year training programme, to train in theatre techniques, dance, acting, television anchoring, and production of television programmes. This programme will be held only on Sundays and other holidays. Those who have completed the matriculation will be admitted for this course. This course will be held during July 2010 and would end during January 2011.Approximate duration of this course would be sixty days. Eminent theatre directors and other such personalities from theatre and the cultural field will conduct the classes. At the end of course a play will be staged by the participants.
