FAQs

Why Star Struck Acting School?

While other acting schools take in large numbers of students in each batch, at Star struck the classes are limited in size, ensuring one to one interaction, promoting the individual development of every student. Coaching is directed to address individual problems for each student and ample importance is given to individuals to improve on their particular weaknesses.

Why Training is required for Acting?
Film and Television production is very expensive, Producers / Directors cannot afford to experiment with Raw Artists, with whom many retakes will have to be taken, thus increasing the cost of production. So they prefer trained artists, who know how to face the camera, act in front of it and speak the dialogues correctly as well. So training is required before one faces the camera. This TRAINING in Film and Television acting is necessary. Keeping in mind the high cost of living in Mumbai, Star Struck provides a three months acting course and added Modern day techniques to train the candidate fast at a low cost in Rajasthan.

Can a person learn acting in 3 months?
Talent is something you already possess. A teacher can only groom it and blossom it or help you bring it out of yourself. 3 months would be the minimum amount of time required to groom an actor.

Will I be made a show reel at the end of the course?
There will be video shoots of scenes and monologues performed by the student actor. These recordings will be made on mini DV tapes provided by the students. These recordings can be used as a show reel by the student. In the strict sense, this is only a record for the student to know how much has he/she progressed during the course, and for analysis of one's own performance.

I have little/no film acting experience or training on my resume. What are my chances of being accepted for the full-time Acting Course?
The main thing we look for in qualified students is their drive and passion to succeed as an actor. We explore this in your application essay and interview. We want to work with students who work hard to improve their craft. We are not here to pick just the most talented people. It's our job as well as yours to make you a good actor. We don't expect you to be that before you get here.
