MR. KANTIBAHI DESAI
The Founder Kantibhai Desai started Shreeji Rajendra Diamond Classes (SRDC) 35 years ago. Kantibhai has been involved in training of personnel in various topics for many years beginning with their diamond polishing careers with diamond essential subjects training that included polishing and other technical subjects. He started life as a diamond polisher in Masukhlal Jentilal & Co, worked there for 10 years, He was master cutter and never cut the stone below 10 carats. Then he was for next 3 years in Rasiklal & Co. There he gained complete knowledge about rough and polished diamond assortment and after that worked as Manager with B. Vijaykumar's sister-concern Bharat associates, gaining the vast experience necessary for starting full-fledged diamond grading classes. SRDC was started as an attempt to enhance and distribute knowledge about diamonds and impart valuable skill to the aspiring diamond graders. It was a non profit motive and unorganized in the beginning for 20 years, At that time Kantibhai was doing job work and giving knowledge mainly about polishing, cutting and Rough Diamond Assortments. In 1990 all subjects were revised & full fledged courses regarding Polished Diamond, Rough diamond and Gemstones started thereafter. Now SRDC also started Hand and Computer Aided Jewellery Designing Course from last 5 years.

Mr. RAHUL DESAI (B.COM, D.G., J.C. )
Kantibhai's son - Mr. Rahul Desai is a Graduate from Mumbai University. He studied Commerce from N.M. Collage, Mumbai.
He was trained by his father and got polishing knowledge from a local diamond factory. He learnt more about Rough Diamond from P. Kirtilal & co. for 1 year and also did Polished Diamond Grading Course from MDMA. He also learn jewellery manufacturing from Nihar Jewels - Mumbai.
He believes in expansion, After completing graduation he joined SRDC and opened 5 Different Centers in suburbs of Mumbai i.e. - Girgaum, Vile-Parle, Borivali (E) Ghatkopar and Borivali (W).
He provides corporate training & conduct lectures on different topics regarding Polished Diamond & Rough Diamond. He looks forward & manages the classes as well as conducting examinations.
Mr. Rajesh Patel (B.Sc., D.G., F.F.I.G., Gemmology From GII)
He is a Science Graduate from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. He was formerly associated with the world largest sight holder as Rough Sales Manager. He learnt cutting and polishing of gemstones from Jaipur, a gemstone city. He successfully completed Diploma in Gemmology from GII, Mumbai. Also awarded for best project on gemstones.
He is associated with the Gemtrade since 1988. He is an expert in every aspect of Gemtrade (Both in Diamond & Gemstones) from rough to finished along with valuations.
MR. NITISH MANNA (Jewellery Designer)
learnt Fashion Designing from Nirmala Niketan. She also learnt Diamond Assorting from MDMA, Mumbai. She started her career as a Diamond Assorter and then learnt Jewellery Designing from GJEPC - Tardeo. Worked as a Jewellery Designer at CIEMME - C.MAHENDRA & CO. She also worked as a free lancer designer and is also able to design conceptually.
Presently working as Head Designer in SRDC.
OUR TEAM
Also with the help of other tutors and designers, the whole SRDC Team works very hard giving individual attention to students. This helps in giving thorough training to each student.
According to Mr. RAHUL DESAI - Manager, SRDC Education Department, the students not only upgrade their understanding on critical Diamond Grading and Gemological issues, they also contribute to a very exciting course program in which all participants come together in discussions, learning from each other by connecting their knowledge from different levels of the Gem trade.
