About RAGC

Rustomjee was established in 1996 and has become a well known brand in the Infrastructure sector especially related to the Real estate vertical. It is well known for its quality and workmanship.

In 1998, as a social responsibility it established its School and presently it has 7,500 students (from KG to Post graduation) and they are supported by a teaching staff of more than 400.In 2013 we will be commencing our second school in Virar.

In 2008, Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC) was established as a Rustomjee Group CSR initiative and a part of the Rustomjee Knowledge City Private Limited. Started as an effort to fulfil the requirement of the industry and to make the student “INDUSTRY READY”, RAGC is a provider of vocational education and training with an objective to make “India the capital of skilled manpower” by enlightening, empowering, and engaging the underprivileged youths with vocational skills and employment opportunities.

RAGC aims to have a niche focus on producing the best grey collar workers-having finished their SSC and taken up the vocational training-who will act as the via media between the white collared management that prepares the blueprint of the path to be taken and the blue collared workers who actually get their noses to the grindstone.

RAGC has a niche focus on a class of Grey collar employees who connects between the white collar executives and the blue collar skilled / unskilled workers. The entry qualification for our program is SSC (X).

We have successfully managed to train 8000 students since 2008.

We believe that that Vocational education is an empowering alternative to academic education and is the next big revolution in India and abroad.

Hence, RAGC has forayed into promoting Vocational Education as a Prime Choice in a student’s career, right after Grade X

We are sure that vocational education will be a path to create demand for India’s youth populace across the globe thus leading to a lasting and sustained upsurge in the Indian economy.

As per our understanding a business can align to all the above changes except meeting the challenge of employing the right kind of skilled man power. In this regard, companies normally prefer fishing and not farming to attract skilled manpower.

RAGC has been established with the primary purpose to help companies to nurture these talents and to cope up with the pressure of changes in business & technology.

RAGC has launched various programs in Construction, Automobile, Retail, Building Services and Maintenance, Hospitality, Electrical, etc that helps in generating a reservoir of skilled manpower for the Industry with the right kind of skill, knowledge and attitude.

We are specialized in training of the grey collar workers i.e. supervisory role and till date have trained more than 1000 students and successfully placed them. The feedback of our Industry partner stands testimony towards the success of our students.

After crawling, taking baby steps for almost 5 years the Rustomjee Academy for Global careers has now grown enough to put its head high, spread its wings and take a big leap forward to reach the sky.

Vocational Education and Training is the next big thing happening in the Education Sector and it is the empowering alternative to academic education. We are focused to make Vocational Education as the prime choice in a student's career and give them vertical growth in qualification and career, is now slowly and steadily turning into reality. In the next 3 years RAGC should be synonymous with Vocational Education and we should become the global leaders in the space. This growth has only been achieved with the help of a good proactive team, fully determined to position RAGC as a Golden Standard in imparting quality training with Industry intervention and making the students' job ready.

Leaders

Mr. Boman Rustom Irani
The Chairman and Managing Director of Rustomjee Group, and is the driving force behind the establishment of the Rustomjee Group of Schools.

An Engineer himself still pursuing a degree in management program from the Harvard Business School, Mr. Irani is a first generation real estate developer and an entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience and profound knowledge about the industry. Having founded the Rustomjee Group in 1996, Boman has used his strong sense of acumen and expertise to evolve the idea of an academy that focuses on education of global standards to all.

He is also the founder and chief benefactor of the ‘Rustom Irani Foundation’ which manages and runs institutes in all spheres of education from pre-school to post-graduation, with the capacity of more than 12000 students. His vision aligned with his mission to ‘Make Education a Priority’ has led the Rustomjee Institutes to achieve an enviable reputation in a short span of time. The students from these institutes have made their presence felt at the State, National and International Levels.

Rustomjee Group is a leading driving force behind the RAGC’s vision of focusing on an education program that has a major thrust on the vocational education of the students, which will make them industry ready and fully employable by the time they have graduated from the academy. His vision of making India the global capital of skilled and industry ready graduates is what spurs the academy on with a continuous focus on their underlying motto of ‘Education For All’. This CSR initiative taken by him has won various accolades for the group and is now a well known Vocational Institution at various national and international forums. His aim is to make Vocational Education as the prime choice in a student’s career.

Mr. Kavi Luthra
Vice President – Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers

Kavi Luthra, with around 27 years of work experience in the Education sector is an integral part of RAGC. A post graduate from NMIMS and Chennai University, he is presently working at Rustomejee Group and is heading the Vocational Training Division of the Institute namely Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers. RAGC has 6 centres ( out of which 3 are adopted Government ITI - Gadchiroli, Karjat, Andheri) and has been training 3000 students every year through almost 200 faculties. RAGC offers programs that ensure / guarantee employment opportunities to students. Under his leadership the academy has won the best Vocational Institute award by the UK - British Council and its ITI has won the best ITI award in India.

RAGC’s Achievement:

With our commitment in this area, we have been awarded A+ Gradation by the Government of Maharashtra and also the title of Best Vocational Training Provider by the UK India British Council and FICCI. We were also a finalist in The Times of India Social Impact Awards 2011.

Since the time the academy was started, we have produced 8000 students who have made a sound contribution to the society. 

Further talking of achievements, we feel that sense of elation when our ex students come back after a successful stint at their jobs and making a meaningful difference in their families and society around them.
