A right destination for students seeking their career in the adventurous Gaming world. Being a gaming artist in today's interactive industry demands a wealth of skills from the artist. Traditional art skills combined with highly complex three dimensional programs combine to create a left and right-brained employee. Analytical thinking, an advanced artistic eye, and the ability to problem solve are all daily tasks. This course will present the fundamentals in creating a deformable character for an interactive product. Subjects will include maximizing detail in your allowed triangle count and texture size, visual hierarchal detail, colour theory, faked volume using light and predictive creation.
This course also present students with the techniques used in today’s game design. Course lectures will include LOD's (level of detail), vertex lighting, UV unwrapping for tile textures, and other related topics. The main focus of this course is to better prepare artists for successful employment in the PC or console gaming Industry.
This will cover the design of visual effects, including fire, explosions, water, magical spells, weapons, environmental effects and item effects too. Each of these will be covered in various styles, from cartoony to realistic.
Course Requirements:
Any fresher with a zeal and excitement of joining gaming industry.A good experience of game playing is a plus.
Course Contents:
- Pre Production
This phase covers basics of Sketching, concept designing, layout designing and managing different gaming styles. This also covers sculpting of Characters with even tiny detail in them. - Painting and Coloring
Creating color keys and designs for game and most importantly creating matte paintings are all done in Adobe Photoshop. Students will learn skills to be a digital painter. - 3D Asset Creation
The asset creation phase will be extensively covered under this phase. Students will get the knowledge of modeling, texturing the characters, backgrounds and other props required for any game using 3DS MAX, Mudbox and Zbrush.
