Industrial Pharmacy Lab
The Central facility for Industrial Pharmacy division was established in 2006 with a view to give hands-on training to undergraduate and post graduate students of all streams, so that they are readily accepted in industry after their studies. The penultimate aim was also to help industry with their projects and establish a healthy industry-academic relationship.
The facility has high quality equipments like High Pressure Homogenizer, Spray Drier, Rapid Mixer Granulator, Fluid Bed Processor, Extruder Spheronizer, Tablet Compression Machine and Tablet Coater to name a few.
This facility is also used to provide training and help various academic institutes in their research activities. The equipments were procured keeping in mind the batch size required for industrial pilot scale batches. This up to the mark facility has helped us bag various research projects from companies.
It also has equipments required for to study pharmaceutical engineering like Bernoullis apparatus, Reynolds apparatus, Orifice meter and Venturimeter.

Central Instrument Lab
The central instrument laboratory at SPP SPTM have sophisticated analytical instruments like High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system, Gas Chromatography (GC) system, High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) system, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR), Flash chromatography, UV spectrophotometer, polarimeter, colorimeter,etc.
The central instrument lab is also equipped with various instruments required in pharmacology like autoanalyzer, cell counter, digital elevated plus maze, RMS polyrite D, I WORX data recorder, ELISA reader, etc.
The various instruments are under the purview of annual maintenance contract and Instrument Performance Verification Scheme to regulate and monitor their performance.

Animal Facility
The Animal Facility is located on ninth floor of the building having approximately 1,000 sq. ft. area. It has three animal rooms, one experimental area, washing area and quarantine room. Office and store room is separated from other areas. The quarantine room and animal rooms are maintained under controlled conditions of temperature.
All the experimental animals are provided with balanced animal feed pellets and purified water. The animal facility is registered with CPCSEA. All experiments on animals are performed with the approval of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC). Records of day to day activities, maintenance and experimentation on the animals are maintained.
