The Integrated MSc-PhD has a course design that gives a lot of attention to developing a research aptitude during the first two years. This effectively builds a launch pad for a following PhD. We are given a free environment to think and grow, are allowed to make our own mistakes and learn from them and are taught to never be disheartened by failure; all of which will come good when we step out as future researchers. The addition of an Animal Cell Culture laboratory has only added to the plethora of facilities already available. I consider myself very fortunate that I have been given am opportunity to be a part of this institute, which believes in learning through experience.

It is my great honor to describe the institute which gives students a great opportunity to develop an interdisciplinary attitude thereby building up analytical skills. The faculty helps not only to nurture students to the academic curriculum but also helps the students to channelize their dreams and ambitions.  What sets the various courses at School of Science different is its delivery mechanism and multi-disciplinary approach. The project work, industrial visits have made me learn how to go about working together with team and co-ordinate. Working with groups on assignments has taught me qualities like team approach and the scientific art of planning, motivating, delegating and group dynamics. In my time here, I have understood that SOS is going to make the transition from a student to a professional in a lot easier manner.I indeed owe a lot to this institution.

I have only great things to say about School of Science. I can speak with confidence and immense happiness that my life is truly changed by the quality education and knowledge I gain from the great eminent teachers and inspiring colleagues. I consider myself to be fortunate to be part of this great institution. There are a number of reasons why I wish to be part of this institution, and I will always treasure my experiences at SOS. The inter-disciplinary approach within SOS makes studying in general a very unique experience. The exposure to different cultures, different viewpoints broaden horizons. I can honestly say that I have a great respect and admiration for the teachers here, and couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience. The learning experience from this institution provided the strong foundation and impetus in shaping up my career.

I am very thankful to my Institute as it has given me new vision to look towards science. Here I have learnt to think & find scientific reasons for questions. My overall personality has developed; I have improved my presentation skills, built confidence, and learnt the importance of team work at the same time gained conviction to work with the team as well as at an individual level. Talks by the visiting faculty have enlightened us to the industrial scenario, and helped us learn from their experience. I am very lucky to be in this institution, as I have learnt much more than I had expected before I joined this institute.
