Is there any entrance test conducted for admission? No, there is no entrance test conducted for admission. Admission is done strictly based on the eligibility criteria being fulfilled by the candidate. Are the NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education programmes approved? Access – School for Continuing Education programmes are approved by Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE-DEC. WHAT IS THE FEE STRUCTURE? Programme fees towards Various Programmes
How to apply for admission to NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education programmes? Candidates seeking admission shall have to apply through the prescribed application form. The application form along with the fee and attested copies of the documents should be forwarded to: Deputy Registrar (Admission) Please mention on the envelop “Application for SDL (respective batch) Admission” The admission fee is to be paid in the form of Demand Draft only in favour of “SVKM`s NMIMS” payable at Mumbai. Fee paid through cheques/cash are not accepted. While submitting the application, a separate DD for Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only) in favour of SVKM’s NMIMS payable at Mumbai to be deposited towards the admission processing fees. Does NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education have any study centres across India? Yes, NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education has study centers across India. For list of study centers please Is it mandatory to have a study centre for pursuing a NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education Programme? Yes, every student admitted to the NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education shall have to be attached to a study centre located nearest to his residence/workplace. All academic activities shall be undertaken at the study centres only. Can a candidate change his study-Centre? Yes a candidate can change his study centre. In order to change the selected study centre,the student has to submit an application to The Dean, NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education along with the fees prescribed by NMIMS. How is the delivery of programmes at NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education? Printed study material which is in SIM (Self Instructional Material) format is provided to the students along with CD’s which includes the summary of the subjects semester wise for student’s reference. They can attend the Personal Contact Programmes (PCP), for doubt clearing. The said PCPs are organized at the respective study centers. Is it mandatory to attend PCP sessions? It is not mandatory to attend the PCP sessions. However NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education strongly recommends the students to attend the PCP sessions as they help them in clearing your doubts regarding their subjects. Can a student change the Specialization selected by him initially? Yes a student can change his specialization as per the dates prescribed by the University from time to time. What is lateral Entry? The lateral entry is given in the context of PG Diploma Programmes only. Candidates who hold the Bachelors Degree alongwith Diploma awarded by S.VK.M`s NMIMS will be allowed to take admission directly to the second year of Post Graduate Diploma Programmes in the respective specialization only. How can a candidate appear for the exams? A candidate can appear for the exams at the respective study centres prescribed by NGA – SCE How is the student performance evaluated? At NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education 30 percent weightage is given to continuous assessment undertaken through periodical assignments and 70 percent weightage is given to the Semester-end examinations. Can a student appear for semester–end examination if he has not submitted the assignment of the semester? Assignment credence is 30 percent and students have to submit the same for each course specified under the programme that the student has enrolled for. Since it is a compulsory component every student has to submit the assignment on or before the last date of submission declared by NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education and before appearing for that term end examination.
