Mr. Kashyap Rajpal, B. Tech 2nd year

Being a student of B-tech Computer Science I find myself very lucky to be a part of such an advanced department. The teaching pattern of the staff helps the students to technically excel in various fields. Moreover quizzes, exams, gaming programs and many more other events helps in all round personality development of the student. Time to time various guidance by excellent experienced faculty help to deal with various problems of the subjects. Helping approach of the faculty makes us feel free to communicate and clear doubts. I am thankful to the faculty for shaping up the future. The computer department in this manner has helped me prosper in all aspects and I will be always thankful for the immense sea of knowledge I have received from it.

It is a year and a half since I joined MPSTME. Looking back I consider myself lucky to study computer science at this institute. The department of computer science has some excellent faculties who not only explain the concepts thoroughly but also make sure that everyone understands the core basics. The laboratory facility and the practical sessions at the department can be compared with the best in the country. The industry interaction by the department has been exceptional and we get to hear some of the leading academicians as well as leading corporate personnel’s which not only gives lot of value addition in terms of knowledge but we are also made aware of current practices in the country.

I feel highly privileged to be a mere element of huge Computer Engineering Department of NMIMS’ MPSTME which is currently growing and extending its horizons in all directions. Like a soft seed grows into a strong tree with its branches spread like open arms under the love of its gardner I have been nurtured and grown in all aspects under the able guidance of my esteemed lecturers. I have always received at most support from my fellow mates during my worst as well as good times as sharing ideas, emotions and educational resources has always been the part and parcel of our lives .A well equipped computer laboratory and the easy availability of needed resources from my lecturers has always made studying more easier for me.

As a student of the most interesting and booming field, I had great expectations from my department before I joined this college. I’m very proud to say that my college has given me more than I asked for. The competent environment, dedicated faculty, well designed courses, all these even in budding years of the campus, luxurious hostels and classrooms!!!! What more does one want? The library is one of the best, with no dearth of good volumes and good authors. Each student can have his own copy issued at any time of the year. The laboratories are state-of-the-art and manned by capable support. Each student has his own set-up to work on, helping the student to practice each concept on his own. The faculty is always approachable, for any type of assistance or counseling. They help the students to cope not only with studies but also with hostel life. Seminars and vivas to help in personality development. Conclusively, I’ve had very enjoyable and learning two years in this department.

I chose EXTC in the Shirpur campus and after almost two years of the program I can say for sure that with in a couple of years this campus would be one of the best campuses for engineering in India This campus is situated far from the hustle-bustle of the busy city having all the Modern facilities to provide ambience and support for curricula (like we have well equipped laboratory having all the latest software like ORCAD, MATLAB, XILINX) and extra curricula activities for the overall development of students. Most of all, dedicated and qualified faculty to ensure high standard of teaching, learning and evaluation processes. With in just two years of opening of this off- campus, I have friends from ten states in the campus which is a great learning experience.

It has been a great experience being in the campus for two years. The institution provided us an environment in which we could find ‘A Home away from Home’. It is a campus with excellent infrastructure and overwhelming facilities.

As the college phase of any student life is one of the leading factor in building his career in a prosperous way, our honorable Dean Sir and faculty members have helped us focus on our all-round development and to follow the value based system. The ‘Blackboard Technology’ has helped us to be in touch with the on goings of the Bombay campus.

At the outset I would like to term my stay here at this campus as Memorable
The facilities provided at this campus make it a better place to live in. The hostel accommodation is nothing short of spectacular and the messing is improving.

The college building is like a technological hot-spot with numerous wi-fi ports along with fully equipped laboratories with LAN connections. Apart from this the faculty has really been of great help to me and has always been a constant motivating factor.

I came here ,about 2 years ago,with dreams in my eyes and butterflies in my stomach.For me,its was the first time away from home,I was nervous and anxious.It took me a while to settle down,but since then there has been no looking back .Its been a great journey at this campus,everyday here has taught me something new,made me grow and evolve not only as a future professional but also as a human being. The focus here has been not only on the academics part but also on the overall development of the students.Our faculty makes sure we are always engaged in lot of activities like projects,sports,debates to mention a few.We have been provided with the best of facilities possible like good hostel facilities,wi-fi connectivity etc.

In the end I would like to say that the journey has been worth embarking upon and I have enjoyed every moment here and I still do…and to add I never miss home!!!

Mr Yashasvi Sharma, Ist Topper, 1st Year I.T.

After a tension of three months, taking admission into MPSTME Shirpur has done wonders for me. In this college under the guidance of highly qualified and very interactive faculty studies are fun and are proving to be very easy in spite of the vast courses and hard topics. The guest Faculty Coming from Mumbai coming every weekend gives us very detailed explanation of the subjects which helps us in having complete command on the subjects. Seminars are conducted very frequently in almost every 30 days which are taken by well known executives and highly qualified professors which brief us about how to approach our studies and how to prepare ourselves for the company placements. The frequently conducted co-curricular activities in our I.T. department are also so vital in the personality development of us and to build up the confidence to face the corporate world. Apart from studies, sports facilities are provided in the campus so that the students can freshen up their minds and keep themselves physically fit which is so vital for the overall development of a student.

Initially I was a bit skeptical about NMIMS shirpur campus because of its location & moreover we were the first batch of the campus. Almost two years have gone by and now I clearly see the campus growing maps and bounds both in academics & cultural activities. I now realize the brighter side of studying in a campus away from the distraction of main city & we get more time to focus on our studies and all round development. The inception of the idea of seminars delivered by students as part of the internal assessment in our I.T. Department seems different & encouraging for the students.
