Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (JEE): The Common Engineering Entrance Examination.

The successor to the JEE and AIEEE — for long the gateways to India's top engineering colleges including the IITs — will be called JEE, the Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test. The new, SAT-style exam comes into force in 2013. The government will scrap all engineering entrance exams, including the IIT-JEE and the AIEEE, from 2013-14 and reduce the stress levels of students.

Advantages of JEE :-

• JEE implementation will reduce mental and financial burden on the students and their parents and help save a lot of time as well.
• Students would get a great relief from anxiety and trauma caused because of the various examinations and various syllabuses to be prepared; here they just have to concentrate on one single examination and a patterned syllabus.
• you can attempt JEE four times( twice a year)
• You don't have to waste money in different application forms.
• You don't have to wait a year for your DREAM to come TRUE as exam will be held twice a year.
• 40% of board exam will be considered so student with better theory knowledge would lead in JEE.

Examination Pattern:-

JEE will have two papers to be attended by the students in one day itself.

Main Examination:-

- JEE Main examination will constitute an objective test which will be of three hours of duration.
- And the Main exam will have a test for comprehension, critical and logical reasoning.

Advance Examination:-

- JEE Advance examination will test problem-solving ability in basic science subjects and the duration of the test will be 3 hours.
- The two tests together will indicate a candidate's scholastic level and aptitude for Science and Engineering.
